Eleven - The same thing happend to me. When I tried to put the 1.50 dump back in it blew up the whole thing. Thats why I went and did the ez install this time and now this problem I have. Was the 2.71 supposed to run all the homebrew stuff? Is that why the 1.50 was no longer an option to pick? I am confused on this as well as you!!!!

ok first of all...merry christmas...I used the "K" easy installer so everything we'll need is there...the downside is it takes alot of space in your memory stick...to your question. after running hend, rebooting back to 2.71(now on hend) go to your memory stick in the game selection and it's your choice to run devhook 0.51 for 2.71 (which can emulate 2.71 to 3.02 firmware) or devhook .046 launcher( chunglam version) which can emulate 1.50 to 2.71 firmware...it's really your choice. now as for the 'HOME' button, in FW 3.02, if you are in 3.02, the HOME button is your menu button for devhook. this is where you'll mount your ISOs, by pressing the left or right buttons in your D-PAD. you'll have to highlight the UMD IMAGE to select your ISOs or run your UMDs..really up to you...3.02 emulation still has its issues...mine hangs after exiting a game...still looking for a solution on that...as for your old Devhook i think you'll have to copy the contents of your old DH folder to your new one...i think...not sure though...still having problems just use the K easy installer by keal....hope it works out for you....GOOD LUCK!

okay, super newb question but...after you install everything how do u run devhook cauz i get an error saying "The game could not be started. (80020148)", the same message as before in the install, and can only stay in 2.71, and where do u put the iso image to play it, just the iso folder?

hey guys,wow a lot of users still keep comin in here???.i thought the guide will be useless.but anyway
you guys should know quite long ago that 3.03 firmware has been decryted and all the functions can be used but the problems is that devhook does not support it yet.meaning it cannot be emulated properly on the 0.51 devhook yet.have to wait for booster's update then maybe darkalex can edit it for us ta-082 users.i hope u guys know how to use dumpers by now coz a lot of u already emulated 3.02.
the new 3.03 firmware needs a new dumper.it is out already.3.03 cannot be dump with the old dumper homebrew.
if u guys have missed the news about it then go here::::

Well, hopefully I don't have to return my current PSP since I can run ISO's and homebrew on it. I use to have a TA-082 Firmware 2.60 PSP but then I got a dead pixel so I had to return it and ended up with a TA-082 Firmware 2.71 PSP. Hopefully I won't get a dead pixel for this PSP. Or else I might get a higher firmware if I need to return it.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

okay so in the instruction:
To play iso games in 3.02
1.press "HOME" button then move on "UMD IMAGE" then
2.press right or left then at the bottom of the screen,u will see the image change.
how do u actually start it

can someone help me???
i read lots of guide and thread and i am darm blur about everything now. can someone help me with my problem?? i own a 2.71 Ta-082. What should i have and what is the link to get the programs i need and what should i do??? if i can emulate to 3.01 or a higher version? would i be still able to play iso or cso games???

you should go to the first page of this thread and it's really up to you which one you choose...if you ask me ill go with the "K" easy installer. and yes, after successfully installing everything in the k easy installer and depending on the size of your memory stick(capacity) you'll be able to play your ISOs and CSOs. you can emulate up to firmware 3.02 only...hope that helped...have fun!

hey..means in order for mi to play download game i have to have to a emulator for 2.71 to 1.5 and another emulator to emulate to 3.02??? if i onli install the devhook 0.51 BETA for 2.71 and HEND only, will i be able to play iso games?

ihave managed to work all the other games but wen i play msg portable ops it loads then the psp drags or freezes so i have to reboot any ideas i need som help thanks

Hey all, first time post here from a newb PSP owner. Just got it for Christmas. Yeah! :)
Well, it took a day to work up the balls to try the guide above. Being newb, I decided to try the easyinstaller. After a couple of scary moments, I was able to successfully get it upgraded to 3.02fw. All's good right?
Well I thought so, but after shutting down the PSP for break, I came back and restarted with a UMD game my wife brought home for me. Strangely the PSP booted in another language then walked me through the initial setup again. All the system settings were gone. Also the 2.71 firmware that came with the PSP was restored.
I searched the forums and don't see anyone mentioning this behavior. Have I done something wrong to trigger the restore? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

these are some of the easy installers out there couple things i wanted to know(after reading MANY posts)
-which one is the best and truly the easiest
-WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM?!?!
