make an UPDATE folder in your PSP/GAME
put the firmware X.XX eboot in your UPDATE folder. rename the eboot update.pbp if it is not already named that.

these might not be the exact file names but you should be able to figure it out.

ANSWER
You can downgrade to 1.5 to play ISOs or you can upgrade to firmware 2.71 and play ISOs on that firmware as well.
You can find a guide on downgrading your fw 2.00 PSP here:

I recommend downgrading to firmware 1.5 as all homebrew is supported on that firmware.
Like I said in the other thread, if you want to play the latest games with nothing ripped (i.e movies etc) then buy atleast a 2GB memory stick.

Yes just downgrade to 1.5.

Yes you must have a memory stick to downgrade.
Any memory stick will do, even a 32MB one works.
Or you could borrow someones as you don't need it after the downgrade.

ANSWER
If your PSP has firmware 2.00 its highly unlikely that it has a TA-082 motherboard. But you never know, to check see here:

Hey guys to do all the following do i need the 2gb memory stick now?
Step A):update your psp to 2.71
Step B):moving Homebrew Enabler REV D[HEND] to psp

you should have enough room on a 32 MB stick. The only reason you would need a 2GB stick is if you're storing more then a gig of info on your psp's memcard.

I prefer firmware 1.5 as all homebrew is supported. And you will have to wait for some homebrew to be ported in order to work with 2.71 (for example DevHook 0.51 was needed to be ported in order to work on fw 2.71).

K well, i got a question. Before i flashed the configfile to my psp, i went to devhook 0.51 port for 2.71 and selected the 3.01 firmware. So, it rebooted the xmb but i got a blue screen of death and it reset my settings when i turned on my psp again. Now, when i put my wallpaper on, itll show up but when i turn it on again, it wont show up. Any suggestions?

0.51 devhook does not run 3.01 even though it is one of the options. Go for the new devhook .52, it emulates 3.01

Wat? your not getting the point. Re-read it, im saything that my wallpaper doesnt show up after i turn off my psp. I set it as my wallpaper but it wont be on even after i turned off and then on. Oh and btw, theres no devhook 0.52, its devhook 0.51.

Try going into DevHook then FLASH INSTALL and selecting the remove all devhook files from flash option. Then try and reinstall it.
Also, did you dump your flash 1 files to your memory stick and put it in ms0:/dh/301/f1/ before flashing?

My firmware is 1.5 and I emulate 2.71 with devhook 0.46. I don't want to update to 2.71 I love the 1.5 firmware. So is there anyway to play Syphon Filter the way I have it set up?

hopefully i can find a faq for my TA-082 V2.80 in here. I try to play iso. So can I downgrade or use Devhook emulator?

there is currently no downgrader for 2.8 however, you can emulate firmwares using xloader 0995 for 2.8
