Hey guys
I have fw2.71 IC6001 written on the left side of the UMD(when u hold the psp so that the screen isn't facing you) and was considering downgrading. I formatted MS, used the DOWNGRADER 2.71FULL file from Dark_AleX. Copied its content to my MS. So now it says i have to enter the PHOTO menu. I did so. But no red screen appears:S..I've done it 4 times already...no luck. What happens is this:..Memorysticklight flashes a couple a seconds...then stays lit...then psp turns itself off...any suggestions?
(ps: before this i had HENC & DEvHook .46 for 2.71 installed on MS..does this have anything to do with the downgrader not working?)

Never mind guys...I used another aproach. First restored factory defaults..then fired up the downgrader...and now...fw 1.50:)

Ok so here's the deal ( once more ).Downgraded. Formatted memorystick. Now..i have only 2files and 1 folder on it ( is it supposed to be like that??) :PSP(folder) MEMSTICK.IND,MSTCK_PRO.IND..Isn't there supposed to be a MP_ROOT folder??
Well..i wanted to install devhook 0.5 but i read on psp hacks.com that it will install the fw3.01 on my psp. So i halted ..cuz if the MP_ROOT folders supposed to be on the memory stick..and it isn;t in my case...sth could go horribly wrong if i do the whole dh0.51 install with fw.301 right??...Please help:(:(

ummmm thats impossible! u cant have 1.5 on a TA082

No..seriously..i have 1.5 now.
I had FW2.71...and on the left side of the UMD i had : IC6001 ( this isn't a TA-082)..
But now i want to install dh 0.51 but this seems to be a problem as ive explained previously:S..

there is a lot of guides for 0.51 to be install in 1.50.try to find it in maxconsole coz the actual user who made the program is there

Exactly the guide i was afraid of Eternalis...
Not that its bad or anything..but what i understand from it is that i'm actually going to install fw3.01...and thus losing my fw1.5...or is that totally not the case?

lol No thats not whats happening. That guide explains how to set up DevHook 0.51 on a 1.5 or 2.71 SE-C PSP to emulate firmware 3.02. You wont loose firmware 1.5!

As far as im concerned..IC6001 is not a TA-082 mobo...if it is...well...im just REALLY lucky:S..

Ok..done all of that..everything succesful..Emulating fw3.02...Should i make a ISO folder now to put in my ISO's or should they go into another folder?

Yeah make an ISO folder in the root of your memory stick and put your ISOs in there.

hi
i'm new here i need help i have a psp fw 2.71 and i put henc and devhook for fw 2.71 on it and i can't get the iso to work i load up henc and then devhook and choose fw 2.71 non flash and then i select umd iso and then i go to start and all i get is a black screen and my psp shuts off
please help me

@titan22- First of all take your email address out of your post as its against the forum rules.
Try using the new DevHook 0.51 with HEND, heres a guide:

One dumb question(newbie time) but DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod it's only to play ISO's in your PC right or can i start a ISO in my memory stick from there?

No you can play your ISO,s with it as well
