after i format and restore default settings of my psp. what folder should i copy/paste this to my PSP?
71_TA-082_-_1.50.exe
README_DE
README_ENG_ORIGINAL_DARK_ALEX
TA-082_Downgrader.pngfile.
sorry guys i realy am a NOOB about this. is there a instructions for DUMMY? /heh i really want one. plzzz help me
i dont get this part either.
5. once its finshed, navigate to the PHOTO section in the XMB and load HEND --->
NOT it may not load the first time so restart and try again. Make sure you have no UMD inserted when doing this!
6. Once its loaded (the psp will restart automaticly --> this means it loaded HEND) go to GAME in the XMB and load/start idstoragechange.
(this program just changes some keys ^^)
7. Once this program is done and loads your XMB again, go back to the GAME menu an dyou will see your Generic downgrader called "Update X.YX"
Load/start this.
8.This will now insatll the 1.5 FW onto your psp. when its doen it sould ask you to press "x" were it will restart the psp an dyou will get a BSOD.
Simple press "o"
Enter your information and voila, 1.5 FW!

what actually happens when you do step 5? coz ur supposed to sun the file i think that's hen d or c in the photos right? what happens there? the psp should restart after running it. if it doesn't, hard reset the psp then try to do step 5 again. anyway, did you use a winstaller to put the files you need or did you do it manually? Another thing.. which downgrader did you get? just make sure it's for your fw.

When I run IdStorage Change I get this message.
The game could not be started.
(80020148)
After going through it over and over I thought that's how it must be so I went ahead to the PSP Update ver X.YZ but I get the same message.
What am I doing wrong?

I decided to wipe the memory stick again and repeated the steps. It worked this time. Thanks for the walkthrough I was really bumming when I thought I was shit out of luck with this IC1003 motherboard.

once I get my 2.71 down to 1.5 then I go up to 3.40 OE I'll be able to play downloaded games off the memory stick? anyone have a link to the latest fw. that will basically have a self install or whatever, and will all games play on this firmware all execpt any games that are newer? Thanks sorry for the dumb question. still very new with my psp and dont want to as you guys say "Brick" it. lol.
oh and after I get it to the 3.40 whats the next step? is there anyother programs I need to get to play these games?

Nothing happends bec its loadbinary.TIF and rand.JPEG (image extensions)it just shows pictures..

did you copy this to ur memory stick then run 71_TA-082_-_1.50.exe
cause that's what i did. when i run the exe it self extract, show on image1 the folder. then i followed step 5, the navigate to photo and load hend!

yeah. when you're on 1.5 you can update it to 3.40 OE-A already. and you don't need any other programs to run iso games. you just basically put the iso files under the iso folder and you will find the games under the memory stick.

I used a winstaller then. it put all the files to the correct folder. i think that's what you used as well. when you go to photos then run hend what happens next? it should restart by itself. if it doesn't, try hard reseting the psp by holding the power for about 5 to 10 secs then it turn it back on then try to run the hend again and it should work(it should restart by itself) then you can run the idstorage if i'm not mistaken.

when I install the 1.5 do I install it to the root directory of the psp ms labled "psp" or go with the "mp_root"?

ok totally lost. I copy/paisted the 4 files to the ms next to the psp and mp_root folder on the ms and ran the installer. when i go into the psp folder I go into the photo folder and theres noting there. so then I noticed another psp folder inside the psp folder and open that one and theres a photo folder in there. so so far its psp,psp,photo, and theres a Hend file I open that and theres 2 files in there, both just pictures though? where'd I screw up at?? lol. I clicked on the loadbinary and rand but it just opens as a picture.
thanks for the help guys. anyone on msn messenger that can walk me through this??

dude, you direct it to the root folder of the memory card. so it should be x:\psp\photos\hend.

ok, I deleated that other folder and ran it to the root directory and so now I access it like you said (psp\photo\hend)but still just pictures and nothing runs when when I click on load binary or rand. just comes up as pictures. thanks btw for your reply

hmmm.. that's weird. so u have the files under photos right? and when you try to run them its just showing a picture? are you using a winstaller? or are you doing it manually? what do you mean "click" by the way? cliking on the file? or trying to run it using the psp?

sorry was tring toload it through the computer instead of the consol itself. ok so hend is loaded now and then tried to run the Update X.YX but the error comes back "the game could not be started (80020148) I seen this error some place. thanks again Boggzy

after running hend, did your psp restart by itself? coz it should restart by itself. and no prob. i also know how frustrating it is at first. and i also asked a lot of questions then... well actually, UNTIL NOW. lols...

hmmm... try to reset your psp by holding the power for about 5 to 10 secs and then try running hend again. coz ussually it doesn't work the first time. then try to rung the idstorage. and make sure you do not have a UMD inserted and your battery should be atleast 75% or better yet connect a charger while you're doing this.

ok restarted like you said reran Hend and then the id storage and worked like a charm. :) now loading the Update X.YX ..... :) thanks for all your help Boggzy.

is that the blue screen with diff languages and is asking you to press on O? if yes.. then press O. and it should load 1.5.

i haven't tried 3.40 OE-A though. but i believe that they are all the same. look for a winstaller for 3.40 OE-A and do the instructions. its easier than downgrading to 1.5. hehe
