yeah. just make sure you read everything and be as carefull later as you were a while ago. coz again, when you're updating it you are actually flashing the psp and there is always a chance of bricking the console. goodluck.

I've downgraded to from 2.71 to the 1.5 then up to the 3.40 oe-a and can play my original umd game...
still trying to figure out what I need to do to make a iso out of a umd. anyone? thanks

Well, my original PSP got all scratched up and I returned it to Wal-Mart and got a brand new one. Saw a few code Ls in the case but found one marked K (2.71!).
Here I am again, downgrading to 1.5 and going up to 3.40OE-A.

Just recently got a used psp with firmware 2.60 on it.....I opened the back of it and does nothave the IC003 code written on the upper right hand corner. However, i can read something like "IC001" on the left side....Does this mean i do have a TA-0082 motherborad? or not?
please help me find out ASAP....

hi, got dark_alex's 2.71 ta-082 downgrader. A question though, in the /PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder is a eboot.pbp with a 63kb, and i was able to download a 1.5 eboot with a file size of 13.2mb. which one should i use??

Hey Thanx ALOT for all the hard work on the downgrader and for everyone posting.... The down grade worked just perfect for me with the TA-082 motherboard v2.71. i wish luck toeveryone els and hope no one gets bricked. if anyone has questions lemme know.

you psp freezes when u click on HenD... no problem mine did that plenty of time... just make sure there are no games in your psp and hold ur reset botton down and keep trying i had to do it about 2 or more times b4 because of the same problem..
and guys this is the easiest downgrader ever... the other one from psp-hacks.com is harder to understand i tryed that one and fukd up and then found this one... just download that file (click on the link provided) and open then installer and plug your psp in and find your sp drive mine was D and just install them there. then take the usb cord out and just incase what i did was put my psp to default and reformated my psp Memory Stick. then run HEND and it might go red then go blue... but thats ok or if it doesnt work the first time try again... then if the HEND worked go to the idstorage in your Game/MS then itll load bunch of shit.. click and hold x... then go back to your MS and click on the Update X.YX mine said Update X.YZ but it still worked.. so i duno..lol and itll load more stuff then click x once it is finished, then itll reset your psp a blue screen with a bunch of writing u might or might not understand.... just click o then enter you information.... and YOUR DONE>>> how easy was that? its ez once you do it..lol it sounds hard but it is not! GOOD LUCK!

Ey, guys thank. i was able to downgrade it to 1.5 f/w now my next problem is what emulator im gonna need to run the iso and eboot.pbp games... any suggestions???

im not sure about any emulators because i never used one. if you wanna play iso games then you can just upgrade to a custom firmware like 3.03 OE-c or 3.40 OE-A. It makes life easier for you. Coz when you have 1.5 you dont have internet and the other things on your PSP. But if you really want an emulator instead, i heard of devhook.

Umm hey im new to all this so be nice lol
umm i got up to the part wen you open HEND in the photo option. i load it then the screen goes blue then RED! then restarts normally. i then check the system infomation thing and it still says 2.71 i no its not meant to say 1.5 but its meant to say someting different. AND then i have the same problem as the other person that posted earler it says "the game could not be started" (80020148).
When i did it my battery was 100% and i had reformated my memory stick plzzzzzzzzz help me it would be greatly apreaicated.

Need some help. First of all, when running "2.71_TA-082_-_1.50" installer, do you have to replace there PSP folder with yours?..Well thats what I did, I went to photos, my sound stopped working, I tried opening it and my PSP froze, so I restarted it..Formatted my mem card and its fine. Please help, what did I do wrong

Hi all. I've got a question. I loaded HEN and then went to run TA082 IdStorage Change and it told me that it required 75% battery and restarted. I had remembered that I had a battery that was full, and so instead of charging my battery I changed it out for the 100% one and now when I go to the IdStorage Change it tells me "The game could not be started (80020148)".
What should I do now?

try to run hend once more. and when it restarts by itself then you can run the idstorage thing under ur game in the memory card.

okay i did all that got down to 1.5 now i was going 303 oe c and almost done and bricked no recovery menu and it just turns off...is all failed? Or is there something i dont know? I am so pissed i was just going to leave at 1.5 when i could not get the 303 upgrader to load correctly and went about it the wrong way. should have stopped but is there any thing to do or just a new mobo?

i have a question with this step:
4.run the installer and it will install everything on to your MS including HEND.
