If you have the winstaller already, just run the application and make sure that the PSP is connected and you should have a memory card inserted. What the winstaller will do is that it will automatically put all the files in the right folders on the memory stick and you can just move on to the next steps.

today i finally downgraded my psp 2.71 ta-082 downgrader to 1.5 i followed all the directions from this thread and everything work fine i hit x to restart and all i get is a black screen does this mean my psp is a brick?
or is there anything else i can do

Will this Easy 2.71 Ta-082 downgrader work on non TA-082 psp's too ? I dont have the TA-082 ....wil this program work on mine ? with a 2.71 fw

Ok I need help before I turn this PSP into a brick manually by smashing it! I hav followed instructions and run the installer. I go to the Photo menu and can see the hend. When I try to run it I get the blue frozen screen....I know what ur going to say now...try again right! well does about 57 goes constitute enough tries? I Cannot get this to run and am getting frustrated (can you tell!) re-formated and restored settings before running installer The file that is in the photo folder is called RAND... is that correct? any help will be greatly appreciated! : ) (newbie)

try resetting(holding the power button for about 5 secs) your PSP before running the HEND. That usually does the trick.

I know there is a different downgrader for 2.71, The one for TA-082 downgrader is designed for that mobo so use the appropriate one for your PSP.

A winstaller for what? a downdgrader to 1.5? or to go to 3.40 OE-A?

Hi Bogzy. Thanks for the response. Still no luck but at least something more is happening now. Instead of frozen screen with RAND icon I am now getting a full blue screen about every 10-12 times that I reboot and try to run the hend. I have repeated the process about 5 times (i.e done about 50-60 reboots.) after about 10-12 I get 2 lots of blue screens then I go back to getting the frozen rand icon each time I try to run it? I def have 2.71 and I have the ic1003 motherboard. any further advice? much appreciated. Faz :)

Hi Boggzy (sorry re last spelling) I am now running 1.50! brilliant thanks for the advice, after a number of blue screens and it turning itself off I finally got it to show the 2.71HEND and was able to run the storage change and update. Magic! Thanks....advice to all those with same prob just keep trying! eventually it will work! Cheers Faz :)

Can anyone help me hack my psp 2.82 firmware play on the memory stick.
Is this possible with this 2.82 firware? I did it before with 2.71 and needed to downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.03.
Plesae someone advice what I can do to make this happen.

yes you can. you just need that GTA LCS. Scroll up and you will see a link that i put. you will find the instructions there.

I just did it and got a black screen instead of blue but I could hear the sound, so I pressed the brightness button and the screen came alive, and I'm now on 1.5
Not sure if this is your problem but try it anyway.

i am downloading my 2.71 TA-082 to 1.5. I put everything on the memory stick then i loaded hen d from the photo menu. Then i loaded the idstoragechange. Then i went for the last step is is load the update X.YX but when doing so it said there was an error and it didnt update. Now in my system settings it says i have a 2.71 hen d.
I think it was a could not read data.pbp error
any advice?

hey whats man im a real noob to this down grading moding stuff but im am interested in doing it. it is just that i keep seeing the TA-082 2.71 down grader and im assuming it will work for the 2.60 but im not too shure because it says that risk could resolve in a brick...i tried to look into many sites, ive tried looking for dark alex'z site but still no results for th 2.60 TA-082 down grade??? did they just skip 2.60 or would 2.71 be the only one capeable of the psx to psp mod??? let me know any thing you know PLEASE!...im really anxious and curious. THANKs

Upgrade to 2.80 then downgrade from there. then install OE or M33 (the 2.80 downgrader supports all motherboards ta-079-ta-086)

Okay thanks but,is there a website wehere i can go to Upgrade to 2.80....then when i do upgrade i can then downgrade Correct?? so then i can learn how to put psx to psp right? but i read that u can do psx to psp without down or upgrades, but i rather get 1.50 just to b shure..

Try here.. Scroll to the fw you are wanting to downgrade from...It will have links for the files you need as well as a step by step guide...In your case, you will want to upgrade to official sony 2.80 firmware.

hey man i dont really like guessing and taking a lot of chances but i can not figure out what that picture means? it says: Open the 2.71 TA-82 or higher downloaded files and extract all files to the root (topmost folder) of the memory stick. whats (topmost folder) mean??? i have no clue....mine says COMMON but it looks like the folders r alphabetized...so im just stumped.. can some 1 help me please?
