When I try to download the installer it says that the file is not found.

Ok, so I'm expecting the worst here... but when I was running the OAE Updater from my PSP the first time, I got a 'VSH1' error of some sort, and then a strange string of letters/numbers.
It still created the Data.DAXAR file though, so I went ahead and installed it.
everything went pretty smoothly from there until I manually restarted the PSP.
I get a blank screen until I hit t' R trigger, and then it brings me to the recovery mode menu. I've played with all the settings, but I can't get past the blank screen after I exit the menu.
sooo...any clue how to repair this/reflash or have I just turned my PSP into a cool looking paperweight?

is this downgrader works properly for ta-082 mobo
PSP Story:2.60->2.71HEND->2.71->1.5->3.02 OE-A->3.02 OE-B->3.03OE-A->3.03OE-B->3.03OE-C

Hmm after reading all of these posts, and having many people run into human mistakes. Can Euro_Styles or touran plz edit the main post? Because after reading all of these posts I am alil confused because I didnt start yet. If you edited the main post with very straight forward directions such as Change Eboot.PBP to ... or w/e. This would really help me out. Thank you very much. By the way i have a version 2.60 so i still need to upgrade to 2.71. Do i need to change the name or anything like that?

My psp bricked after I installed the downgrade. When i turned on the PSP I have sound but no picture. I would get a quick picture when i performed a reset. Any help would be much appreciated. I followed the instructions to the T - and the process went exactly like it was described. But the end result is not good.
I tried to download the installer and is says that the file is not found.

i think it's already pretty straight forward, if u're unsure just ask i'm sure somebody will be helpful enough to answer u're questions. =)

I'm having problems and i'm searching around to see if anybody has an answer. I just bought a TA-082 PSP and had no problems downgrading it to 1.5, but when i tried to install OE-A, i followed the directions exactly, and during the firmware installation, it read the DXAR file fine, but it failed to create the flash directories, and had several errors that looked something like this: "PANIC: Error creating directory flash0/..." This has sadly completely bricked the PSP. I'm willing to try with another PSP, but I want to figure out what happened first before I do so.
Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this error? No one else seems to have even seen anything like this before, so i'm clueless at this point.

format MS when doing so, and did u follow this tut completly when downgrading and upgrading to OE-A? what was the size of the data.daxr?

I formatted the memory stick before downgrading to 1.5, and I followed the guide exactly. I can't fully remember the size of the DXAR file, but I wanna say it was like 17MB or something like that. Like i said, it didn't seem to have a problem with the file, it had the errors creating the directories for some reason.

Is this truly the problem? None of the guides out there, including this one, say anything about formatting the MS after you get HEN D on there and downgrade it to 1.5. They just skip directly to installing OE-A.

@kuato your right I don't remember reading that I had to format the memory stick after downgrading to 1.5...I followed touran22 original post http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/441460 (TY very much) and a link in that post for upgrading http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstat...read.id=2717632
All went well although the upgrade did take awhile and it was nerve wracking especially when the screen saver(think thats what its called) kept going black after not touching the psp for awhile...kuato I really feel for you ...But i guess thats why they have warnings at least you seem to understand that and are not mad at the world...Good luck next time
