Yeah, that's been stated over about a billion times on this thread. Antii, about the modded maps, you would have to go into the tags with entity and edit them. I'll see what I can find on that.

I've been really busy guys, and apologize for not being around. I just got back from a 1-week vacation, and I am really tired. Just give me a few days to get my pep back up!

Thanks!

Plug a controller into the 1st slot, and another controller into the 2nd slot. You should be able to move the character with the first controller, and control the camera with the second controller.

Ok, here's the only way to use 2 controllers or more, and I'm sorry, but you cannot use the devcam and move your character with 2 controllers at the same time.

The first controller, will control the camera position, while the second controller will controller the camera actions or other actions.

I'll post results for a third controller later.

Hey, I followed your amazing tut. basically exactly as it says, but when I go to "launch menu", "apps", "xored trainer launcher", and when I try to select halo 2, nothing happens. I press "A" and my screen just flashes. Nothing happens when I press ANY button... besides "X" (but when i press "X" the game just starts without bringing me to a trainer list or anything). So what do I do? Is there something I missed?

This tends to happen a lot.

My suggestion would be to re-read the tutorial and re-try everything.

Make sure you don't have too many trainers in the trainers folder.

Don't forget to put the config1_5.inc in the proper place.

Here's the other thing you can do:

1. FTP to your Xbox and copy the file /E/Apps/mini/Xored.ini to your computer.

2. Open the file in notepad on your computer.

3. Post the contents of the document here so I can see if everything is correct.

4. Also post the EXACT location (with directory) of where you have placed the trainer file: Yelo15.etm

If you do that, I can at least attempt to see what's wrong.

EDIT: I'm not sure why AfterDawn is having some kind of lag problem. It took 5 minutes before this post even showed up.

So, this was a double-post, but now I've edited it. Just ignore the PM then.

Alright so heres the deal. I got yelo yesterday and followed the original set of instructions at halomods.com. Then after several attempts at that I followed the set of instructions here, up to the point of discussing how to upload photos. Both times resulted in the same scenario. I can get invulnerability, and inf ammo/nades but my dev mode is a little...off.

I can freeze time but its set to White+Dpad up
I can take multi-shots but thats Back+dpad up

and thats about the only control over it that i have. I cant change any of the camera modes or anything.

I use Unleash X\
I always run it through Xored v2.2 i click yelo-halo2 and it runs fine.
I put the yelo trainer file in my trainers folder at E\Trainers and thats where my .ini file is set to look for it
I have the config file in E\Tdata\4d530064
I both manually disabled the auto update by renaming it and used the trainer to do so (and any combination of the two)
and I only have one controller in, (ive tried every port)
And finally im running it from the disk not my hard drive

Anyone have a solution?

Well, here's what I found so far:

Apparently, UnleashX sucks for using the Yelo Trainer. However, EvolutionX works perfectly. There are some people that have gotten this to work with UnleashX, but it's not that common.

So the way I see it...you might want to try one of the following:

1. Un-install UnleashX and install EvolutionX.

2. Double check ALL .ini configuration files if you know how to read them.

3. Make sure you placed the 'config_v1.5.inc' file (NOT the 'config_v1.5.txt' file) in the /E/TDATA/4d530064/ Directory.

4. Check your settings on your xbox dash (I'm not sure how to do this with UnleashX); you should also find the settings in the .ini file in the /E/dash Directory.

If all else fails, let me know, I might actually just try installing UnleashX myself to see what's going on.

Well I ran through steps 2 and 3 and they were fine.

Step four...what settings would I be looking for? And apparantly theres no .ini file in my dash directory. So thats of no use.

The real problem is I wouldnt know the frist thing about removing unleashX and puting in evoX cause my friend setup my xbox for me.

Also im using XBMC...though im not sure if that means anything important.

Would it be too much to ask to setup UnleashX and see if you get some sort of error?

I might try it, but it won't be any time soon. I'm gonna be really busy the next few weeks, as I'm I have in-car next week, marching band for the next 2 weeks, and work for the rest of my life, and then school starts in about 3 weeks; not to mention, I'm moving in about 2 weeks as well.

But in-between all of that, I'll see what I can do.

Xbox drives:
C:

\Trainers
\xboxdashdata
\xodash

D: (DVD drive)

E:
\APPS (i use F:\Apps for all my others as it is bigger but created this for the tutorial)
\APPS \mini (Xored directory)
\Cache
\games (empty as i use F:\Games because it is bigger drive)

\TDATA
\TDATA \4d530064 (contains only $u and config file from tutorial)
\Trainers (this didn't exist as i used C:\Trainers so the dash would see them, i created this for the tutorial so it was same drive as everything else)
\UDATA
\video

F:
\APPS
\GAMES
\MUSIC
\VIDEO
(and some system directories)

I've never installed any trainers myself before but have followed the tutorial up to copying the trainer but didn't continue on to copying screenshots, althoigh i did read the FAQ and no luck

Hope i've given enough information for you, if you need to know anything else just ask.

This person's post is almost exactly like mine, so I'll keep it short.
All the file placements are where they should be, as per kslice's tutorial. I have edited the Xored.ini file in the mini folder to reflect my games being in F:\games as shown:

# 20 game folder or xbe paths max
Games_Path1	= "E:\Games"
Games_Path2	= "F:\Games"
Games_Path3	= "D:\"

After that, I could play from the HDD. Problem is, with both of the first options checked, the room spins. I discovered that is fixed when I choose "go back to checkpoint." I played with the cheats, great fun, but now I want to mess with the dev camera. I tried using the second controller, but none of the controls were anything like the text file provided. The only thing I could get to work is back + dpad-left for save checkpoint, and start + dpad-left to return to checkpoint.
Of course, I turn off the dev in the options, no spinning room, no dev options.

I'd like to play with the camera, though, so I'd like to ask what I can do.

Dash: UnleashX
Yelo version: I downloaded it a day or two ago ...
My $U folder is now "$Uasdf"

Any more I need to check or do, so I can use the dev options?

EDIT:
I was doing a little more messing around, and it seems having auto update turned on (disable autoupdate disabled), the trainer doesn't work. so, that's back off, and the dev thing is on.
when I have one controller, I can do what I mentioned before, as well as freeze with white & up, like the dude mentioned

The solution has probably been mentioned a billion times on my official forums. It seems as though the DevCam doesn't work properly with UnleashX dashboards for some reason.

To stop the spinning at the beginning, you should just hit back+dpad-up and it would fix it.

Once again, make sure you have NO other controllers plugged in, including the infrared DVD control device.

I'm going to release an application form of EvoX soon, so just be patient.

Of the ten pages in this thread, I saw only a couple mentions of UnleashX. I questioned your tutorial on your official site (granted, before I had done any research). After that, I realized why it wasn't working - the game being on F, the trainer was lost.

Anyway, thanks!

Couple questions ... why should the dashboard matter when in-game? Also, when you make that application of Evox, I guess us UnleashX people will run that, then run the trainer, right?

Thanks again ...

I believe the dash matters for the reason (I haven't tested this yet, only heard), that UnleashX makes /F/ the default directory instead of /E/. Even though you can edit the .ini file to look in the /F/ directory, everything still runs through the /E/ directory.

Yes, when I make this an application, you will simple launch it, then launch the trainer launcher, then launch the trainer & the game. I'm most likely going to just make it a dumbed down version, with only the option to start the trainer launcher.

As for the trainer on my official site, it's the exact same thing besides the fact that I have answered a few more questions. Most of the people on there have PM'd me with your problem.

Now, I'm not entirely sure how well this application form of EvoX is gonna work; or that it even will. The problem is, I'm moving in a few weeks, and don't have much time to test it, because what I'd have to do is make the application, re-soft-mod my xbox using UnleashX dash, install my application and then test that. It sounds simple, but it's not.

I hope to have it done within the next month or so - mainly because of my moving strain.

I just ask that you be patient while I attempt to do this...

curious, what if I run everything from F to begin with?
and, don't worry, I can be patient; I understand ya gotta put more important things first

you mentioned a week and a half ago that you're movin' in two weeks, now you say in a few? ;) heh, yeah ... anyway, thanks again!

Well, here's the thing. EvoX runs through /E/ and the trainer runs through /E/. With UnleashX, everything runs through /F/ while the trainer still tries to run through /E/. You really can't change that.

As for moving, last time I mentioned moving, it was because I only had a rough estimate of when I was moving. The contract was finally closed, and we have an official date that we can start moving in (August 16th).

Thanks for understanding, and thanks for waiting.

Ok, so I made the application version, then un-installed EvoX from my xbox, and installed UnleashX. I started up Halo 2 with the trainer from the UnleashX menu, and had no problems what-so-ever. I didn't even have to install EvoX.

So, here's my conclusion: perhaps it's your kernel version.

If you could, please post your kernel number here. For help on finding your kernel, please go here.

To be honest, I have no clue what is causing this problem, and for me to know, I would almost have to obtain one of the Xbox's that have the problem.

So, the dev cam works for you on UnleashX? Wow.
Thanks for trying ... and the info you requested:
Kernel: 1.0.4034.1

Other info
Dash version: 0.38.0515A Build 565
This is possibly old ... that make much of a difference?

Well then, that makes 2 possibilities.

I don't know what the latest version of UnleashX is, but you should try upgrading. The latest version is included in my tutorial. You should just download that, and follow the instructions. You can still install UnleashX, but at least this way, we have the same version.

If it still doesn't work, I would have to say it might be your kernel. You have UDE 1 installed, and I, as well as most others, have UDE 2 installed.
