Yes quality is important but with all the problems with this one right now 1step may just be getting a playable copy.

Have you tried to blank or delete some of those useless menus with PgcEdit or VobBlanker? Sometimes there are tons of junks hiden inside the Main Menu and that will likely to corrupt or cripple your backup to play. Sometimes, the only way to get rid of those corrupted/bogus cells or pgcs is to blank/delete them out.
tried it doesn't do a thing

fixvts runs but doesn't change anything at all
vobblanker doesn't accept the file videots so you can't actually run vobblanker

vkn , my guess its a compatibility issue between the movie the drive your using and the software, Ive seen it 1000 times

are you using a box system? with preload burning software?

lol - c++ hunh could have used your help yesterday writing a program for class (beginner here)

Back to topic - give this one a few days - I'm sure the developers of the different programs will sort it out.
I have faith :)

I'd expect almost everyone will have their software updated by the 23rd release date. I'm wondering how the RipIt4Me will work with the updated FixVTS. Last I checked the update wasn't in the RI4M installer and I didn't see it on the official FixVTS thread yesterday. I downloaded it from the link provided here and copied it into the RI4M folder. I've got all my software updated, but I'm still waiting for the release.

Edit: I just noticed AD got the FixVTS update today.

Yeah their lappies are just one of their overpriced things ;)

Did you ever email slysoft & send the ifo's to see what they say?

Just curious

Guys i emailed the ifo's to both slysoft and elby a couple days back and they replied saying i should use AnyDVD 6.1.0.3 for saw 3 along wit clone dvd 2.9.0.3 so saw 3 was easy to copy if u used that comboination of programs.
This was with the advise i got from binkie7 so try that with all your saw 3 problems and it will work..This was also mentioned in earlier messages i think..so good luck everyone.

Good deal :)

When this one comes out next week I'll probably use a few different programs just to play/test whatever.

Slysoft has taken down 6.1.0.3 from their server.

I Noticed there's a AnyDVD 6.1.0.7... I really don't have anything against slyoft but how do people keep up with paying for progams if they keep updating like every other week...

Updates are free for life - so once you buy that's it $ wise.

They update for all the new wacky copy protections that Sony especially is trying to throw at us. They are ever changing. And if they have any bugs or enhancements.

Saw 3 as was posted in this thread has 99 vts file w/ 40 bad sectors.
I have never seen anything close to that and I've been doing this awhile.
So my guess is the developers of all the programs had to work a little harder on this one any may still need some tweaks.

Didn't know the updates were free..my bad..but i do understand why they do have to update..i always got that just the idea of payin for a upgrade ( which i now realise is free ). but i would advice anyone who want to back up their dvd's to get this. at first i was using alot of other programs to back up my dvds but AnyDVD,clone dvd and shrink are all you need .Thats all i use these days.
