Two things:
#1 - Zippy is right. The 360s have really been a headache and if you're read through the recent pages in this thread, you'll notice that even I have gone through several headaches. Let's not forget, I pretty much KNOW what I am doing when it comes to stuff like this. I've tried cooling my 360 since day 1... so just think of how much sooner my 360 would have gotten screwed up if I left it with its stock cooling. For the past several months, I had a notebook cooler under the 360, laying FLAT on its belly, and with an intake fan... then, eventually I put exhaust fans in the back. All of these fans were powered with something other than the 360's stock power, so you cannot blame that either.
Now that I have an F-ed up 360 console, I'm happy to say M$ made a piece of crap manufactured product. It's fun and all, but it's a sad product in many ways (yes, I do love it when it works). Now I have to spent even more countless hours to fix the darn thing, which is not the consumer's responsibility, but I've made it my own.
#2 - Why does TREND MICRO PC-CILLIN (anti-virus software on my new laptop) tell me that this site is a "Dangerous web site - You have attempted to open a dangerous Web site."

"Category: Hacking / Proxy Avoidance"

Its in their filter, check the web blocking stuff its under warez or security info oh Hacking / Proxy Avoidance ,frankly their web filtering technology is iffy at best turn it off.
I am not running TMPC07 right now I am running free AVG which dose better with virus's 0-o and I am running comodo firewall and their anti spyware/maleware.
If the wet towel trick can even partially fix it then best bet is the low lead ROCHS complaint solder that with iffy manufacturing standards pretty much made the 360 a easy back oven for phish and chips :X

Anybody know what E68 error is? I get it time to time (rarly) but I got the newer nyko in it but I heard it could be just taking out the hdd and connecting it back in. But it's 2 red lights i think. Im just gonna do the x-clamp replacment on it, like i did to my other one and run smoothly and very VERY cooler now.

something is up with the HD ,unplug it restart the console let it boot up then and find it dose not have it,then replug it in,let it find it and see if that will "fix" it,you might need to update the console as well.
it might be the HD is deing.

Alright, but I don't think thats the case, it has done that for the past 5-6 months but rarly like onece a month maybe sometimes.

a bad or corrupt data can do that,by plugging the HD unit back in after the 360 sets itself to no HD mode it can correct some errors.
if the HD is failing things will only get worse.

hmmmmmm, so turn the 360 off then take out the hdd for a bit blow in it and hook back in to see if that was the problem?

with the HD off turn the 360 on let it boot up fully,then turn it off and put the HD back onto it.

wow i learn somethin new everyday... never heard of this error, but you should try what zippy said. it can't hurt.
or try to run your 360 with a mem card for a while and see if the problem goes away... if it does go away, well then you know it was a faulty hdd.
or... maybe you could just buy another hdd... they are getting cheaper for the 20gb now since the elite is out.

I was going to buy one of these inter coolers but after I heard the reports of damages, I decided to make my own cooler.
I just bought some old Xbox1 fans and put them together with a custom built enclosure (just a plastic box with 2 fans)and has an AC adapter. Once I get pics of it I'll post a guide on how to make one. It's way better and doesn't even attach to the system. I plave it at the bottom of the console (while being vertical) and have it blow air in the lower vents. It is about 7 inches long with a fan at each end.

Wow, i'm still not understanding the purpose of buying what is just an overpriced, cool-looking fan. I was in Walmart the other day, and they had a 5" personal fan for $6. All you need to do is aim that diagonally at the slits in your 360. It will cool it almost as good as the intercooler, and save you atleast $10. So why not? o_O
ok i'm a cheap b*stard but i don't want some intercooler crap damaging my system. Ain't worth it.

I live in unorganized clutter, the fan is simply to lessen clutter.

Before my 360 fried, I used an external power supply to fire up my fans. I used PC fans (molex plug), and used the external power source for my IDE to USB 2.0 adapter that I had.
For example:

Check out the pictures. You'll see the power supply I'm talking about. :) I use a Y-adapter, so that I can plug two fans in that thing... it'll probably support 3 fans, but don't put too many or you'll blow the darn power supply out. Just add up your amps (you can see the max amps pulled from each fan) and make sure you don't exceed the max amp rating on the power supply.

I found another quick fix for you guys.
I bought some little fans from radio shack and aimed them so they blow out of the xbox. what I mean is while my xbox is horizontal (lying down) I put the fan behind the xbox360 and have it aiming away from it which sucks out more air. the fan is like 10x as powerful as the 360's internal fan and the air shooting out isn't that hot anymore. I have a second fan also that I had by the bottom, blowing into the 360. maybe this will help you. I will provide more info soon. The entire kit costs around $15 for two fans.

Be careful doing this, but it's VERY easy to "jump-start" an ATX power supply. The safest way (in my opinion) is to get a wire (aluminum or copper, doesn't matter) and strip about 1/4" off of each side, so that the wire is coated except for a quarter inch at each end. You can also use a paper clip, but I wouldn't do that unless you cover the whole thing with electric tape. I wouldn't want you causing a fire or anything harmful to yourself or the device(s).
WARNING: Make sure the power supply is not plugged into an outlet!! (or if there's an on/off switch, MAKE SURE it's off... when in doubt, unplug the power plug from either PSU or outlet)
Simply short (connect together) the GREEN wire with any GROUND (black) wire. 20 or 24-pin ATX power plug, and stick the wire into the pins of where the green and black wire lead to. Now, plug the power back in and switch on the power supply. There you are - your fans should now be spinning.
You can do all of this while the power is already fed to the PSU, but I don't recommend it for 1st timers.

no problem, pal. what blocks do you speak of? you mean the wire clamps? i'm not sure if you can fit that in the pin holes on the bottom of the ATX plug, but i'm sure you'll figure something out. you can stick a wire (if you're going that route) on either side of the plug. heck, you can even use telephone wire (I'm sure you have spare... no one uses 'em anymore) :)
