holy crap...that was fast! Sadly I'm at 3.11 but still I give props for comin out with 3.40 OE like two days after the official sony fw3.40 came out. Great Job! :)
p.s. what updates does it add?

a more precise psx emulation, and some security issues. i'm still sticking for 3.03oe-c till i see a custom firmware w/ an added feature. i still don't see the difference between 3.30 and 3.40, just some added securities and some fixes

so the topmenu's that i use in 3.03 OE-C will still all work exactly the same as in 3.40 OE-C ?
i.e. just access flash0 via usb and replace topmenu_plugin.rco

Sony are screwed man, they dont know how to deal with dark alex. At least hes giving the ppl wat they want..

I honestly don't see why Sony just doesn't release an Open-Ended Firmware of their own! Is there some legality issue with that?

Hey,
I was just wondering..I have 3.03 oe-c and replaced some of my resources files to get some flashy new custom icons/fonts/etc etc, is it possible to upgradee to 3.30oe or 3.40 oe with the custom icons etc etc. on the psp? or do i replace the custom icons with the original and then upgrade?
All help greatly appreciated

U can do them either way,
cause if u upgrade to Custom Firmwares
it will sort of reflash all the flash files.

hi touran22... this is a noob question... do i have to recover back to 1.5 and then do the 3.40 oe-a upgrade? I'm at 3.03 oe-c and I have a customized wave and font... help me out here guys... thanks!

u can just upgrade directly to 3.40oe-a if u have 3.03oe-c no matter if u have n-e thing custom

Hey,
I upgraded from 3.03 oe-c to 3.40 oe-a
But somehow sth is wrong...When I access the recovery menu and wanna edit the configuration...the configuration options dont show up.All I see is a blue background color ( the one you normally see as background for the recovery menu ). Accessing the configuration thus means i have to hard reset the psp to get it functioning again.
Does anyone have an idea what's going on & how i can fix it??
Also..my UMD games won't play. I get an error, but i assume this is because i haven't specified the kernell options in the recovery menu...(which can't be done..cant access config options..)

Hey,
I did recover back to 1.50, then I upgraded to 3.03 oe-c, But I still can't access the cnfiguration at the recovery menu:S. Also my UMD games still won't play..
All help greatly appreciated.

I got everything from psp-hacks.
I'm not using winstallers because the data.dxar files could damage the psp if they aren't correct..
So I do everything manually..
It started when i updated from 3.03 oe-c to 3.40 oe-a a few days ago:S..
I really have no idea what could've gone wrong..
Any more idea's?
