3.40 OE-A Winstaller *Updated August 6th, 2007*

Here is the wininstaller for 3.40 OE-A custom firmware. Just connect your PSP to your PC and it puts all the correct files on your PSP for upgrading to 3.40 OE-A. Its good for people who don't want to mess something up i guess. I am not taking any credit for this winstaller, i just came across it today.

UPDATES

Added a how to update with the winstaller part.

How to update to 3.40 OE-A.
-----------------------------------------------------------
1. Download the winstaller from the link given.
2. Run the winstaller and put your PSP in USB mode
3. Wait for the winstaller to fully copy the files onto your PSP.
4. Exit USB mode
5. Go to your memory stick on your PSP, and run the update like any other update.
6. Have at least 75% battery or 100% and wait for the update to completly finish.
7. Have fun!

It will not brick, i used this on mine and it worked no problem. But there is always a small chance because it flashes.

Yep.. and your probably going to have to wait a while for a downgrader. As there isn't even one for 3.10 or 3.11.

i dun think there'll EVER be a downgrader for any higher firmware! ever since i got into psp hombebrew...they've only had up to 3.03 downgrader! there was also that long phase of 3.11 when every1 was waiting for an OE or downgrader...but it didnt come...so my hopes r down rite now....but im postitive if u take it into some places...they can do it for you...but it costs $$

yes they can by getting a new mobo which will cot a bomb u shouldnt upgrade

Why would you do that? Unless you absolutly needed to, to play a game. I would of held off and just waited because a 3.10 or 3.11 downgrader is probably just around the corner.

hardly any games in the world need version 3.00 to play so theres no point u will never see homebrew unless u get a new psp or mobo cos the psp scene might have died off by that time a downgrader cums out so theres really no point

just use the link i gave earlier in this thread it does it by itself instead of u having to do the work all u have to do is run the update in ur psp and ur away

You never gave a link. And, I did run it, and it said this error code. I'm now asking if I should move it to the game150 folder.

Its the winstaller.. it puts the proper files in the correct folders on your PSP to upgrade to 3.40 OE-A. Its for noobs or people who don't want to mess their PSP up or who are just lazy to download the 1.50/3.40 updates and do it manually.
