Brain1956, Evastar, checked out my Replay Lite over the past few days and some channels were still freezing and breaking up. Then I noticed on these channels that the freq's were not the same as my fully working Starview. Manulay changed them to match and all up and running. Final question: is it ok to save the data as per page 222 of this thread? Thanks for all the help.

hi all, can someone help me? i am a newbie on this site... i'm a ntl customer in dublin and receive my signal through a dish, i have got a replay lite box, but when i set it up i get nothing... how do i set it up or tune the channels in? also how do i get into the secret menu? as i say i am new to this stuff and was hoping to get all the sky sports and movie channels... thanks in advance.

I am not into the replay at all but will try and give youa dig out,
When you say you get your signal through a dish, do you mean MMDS were abouts in Dublin are you?

Ok the the best thing for you to do is go to the previous page and 12 posts down you will see how to update what you need,Try this and see, if not Eva or one of the replay heads might be around later, meanwhile try that and see if you get sorted!!!

@GERA27, do you get any channels at all, even the free to air ones?
Try doing an auto scan on 6887, see what channels you get.

yeah but i think they wont work thre eva im open to be shot down here but i dont think replays work there

Hi moggs, where have you been hiding yourself?!!
I was wondering about that myself, but he says he's n*l not chor*s, so if he is it should work. :)

Hi moggs, as far as i know the replay lite will work on n*l mmds, n*l true cable, chor*s true cable but not on chor*s mmds.
So he needs to find out exactly what he has. :)
I'm sure scouser knows better than me though, north co dublin is a bit of a dodgy area!

As Eva say's make sure you are using a null modem lead Part Number L71BT
Then do this,
Connect the Null modem lead from your box to your PC.
Open up the Stblink and select "Run"
DON'T do the Setup Comm.
Untick the "Maintain User Data" box.
Ignore the error message you will receive.
Select "Upgrade Software" and get the 742A file.
It will then start to transfer to you box.
When your PC reads "Transfer Complete" WAIT another couple of minutes before unplugging.
When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed
DON'T unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed
When the flash is complete, unplug the box, null modem lead and exit the Stblink.
Power up the box again and WAIT until the light on the front goes Green.
Then do the above with the 910 file.
Then do your Auto Search.

I definitely have the right null modem cable as ive used it to update
3 other boxes including the one im having trouble with. When I open up the STB link there isnt a "run" option, its STB5.20. theres just upgrade software option, but it just says to turn on my receiver even though the green light is on, that seems to be the problem. any other ideas? maybe its a lost cause
also does anyone know how th get another box if I cant get this one working? my old supplier isnt selling them anymore
And also, I have an old N*hell box, is there any way of putting the new flash software on that maybe?
Really appreciate all the help guys, keep it up

ok try pull the power cable out slightly and put straight back in to it when you try itas that kicks it into starting
as the n hell box all ill say is gerrup owa dat lol no one will tell you that on this site

Start again only this time don't do the "Setup Com" just go straight to the firmware update.

i tried that just comes up with connecting, i waited for 30 mins and nothing happened the light on the box is flashing red/green but no connection

Have you powered down the bx & waited a minute before you tried again?
Lights should not be like that. Had you a failed flash at any stage or did you remove the cable too soon after a flash?

not sure doing this for someone normally stick with eurovox ,box is completely dead now wont turn on just getting lines on tv screen and flashing red light think there must be somthing wrong with it hasn,t been used for about 9 months
