Hi there,

Power supply on my replay lite is gone and I found one on ebay with the correct spec. Just wanted to check with you gurus to make sure that it will actually work.

What do guys think ?

any 12volt adapter will give it power, the two important things are the plug for the back of the replay lite and the fact that it must be 1 amp.

DAMN THE BEGRUDGERS!!!

Did the usual of unplugging it and starting it up again but still nothing. The green light stays on all the time, cant even turn it on or off with the remote control. Cant get into the menus or anything. Tried to install the new files again but on the stblink it kept saying to turn on the receiver to extablish the link, even though the green light was on! any ideas or thoeries? would me much appreciated

@theshev77

I didn't know what to do with this one, so had to ask our resident expert! He said "a hard boot reflash may do the trick. He needs to unplug the box, start the download, wait a few seconds and then turn the box on.

It may take a few attempts before it takes. Other than that its a hardware issue."

So if you give that a go and come back and let us know whether it works or not.

Check your remote control.

If you have a mobile phone with a camera, switch it to camera mode.

Point the remote at the camera lens, and you should see the infra-red LED flashing on the screen.

If you don't see it flashing, then yes, the remote is dead.

If you do see it flashing, then it's not the remote

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If your remote is working and you are still having problems.
Do this,
Connect the Null modem lead from your box to your PC.
Open up the Stblink and select "Run"
DON'T do the Setup Comm.
Untick the "Maintain User Data" box.
Ignore the error message you will receive.
Select "Upgrade Software" and get the 742A file.
It will then start to transfer to you box.
When your PC reads "Transfer Complete" WAIT another couple of minutes before unplugging.
When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed
DON'T unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed
When the flash is complete, unplug the box, null modem lead and exit the Stblink.
Power up the box again and WAIT until the light on the front goes Green.
Then do the above with the 910 file.
Then do your Auto Search for channels.
Hi BRIAN1957..
I've got a little problem, I'm living in the middle of Ireland in a little poxy town thats called mullingar. As far as i know its C***** Cable thats in our town. I've flashed my replay lite box using Firmware 756.zip and i'm using the latest C***** Codes from the Bigmaq toolbar. I did a scan earlier today and got 89 channels and 21 radio frequencies. The problem is - The radio channels are working but the tv channels are not. Keep getting no signal or scrambled! on the screen. Went into key manager and changed the prov ID to 0X5E and entered in the hex code but still keep getting the same problem. Also the prov ID won't stay on 0X5E, Keeps going back to 0X5F for some reason. if you have a solution, please let me know...
Current password 7777
Prov ID: 0X5E
Start frequency: 273 - 480
Symblom rate: 6875
Constellation 64 QAM
Search by network: ON
Thanks Bud
Some of my freeview channels have disappeared. Channel 5 being one of them. I have trawled through all the available channels and can't find the missing channels.
Any ideas/advice would be really appreciated.
Hi M8ty,
You will have to upgrade the software on your Replay Lite as what you have on it won't work.
Click on the link at the bottom of this post and download 742A and 910 files, then upgrade the box as below.
Connect the null modem lead to the box and your PC.
Open up the Stblink
Untick ?Maintain User Data?
Select upgrade software
Get the 742a file from your PC.
From when you see the blocks start to transfer.
It takes 4 mins for the box to be updated.
But make sure you see the led flashing much more quickly than it did when the blocks were transferring. If you leave for even 5 mins it will be OK.
Wait until all the blocks are transferred and WAIT a couple of more minutes for the led to flash much more rapidly than it did when you could visibly see when the blocks were transferring.
Unplug everything and only connect the power lead.
Wait for the led to flash red/green and then stay on green.
Then connect SCART and TV cables.
You might have to unplug the box again and then power it up for a second time.
When the files are being transferred from your PC to the box, the led on the box will be flashing at this speed
Don't unplug the box until until you see it flashing at this speed
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then do the above with the Replay Lite 910 file

Then do a scan as per instructions in my other post above.

Best of luck M8ty

I would suggest you do a full scan before you go to bed tonight.

Start Freq............100

End Freq..............866

Symbol Rate...........6887

Constellation.........64 Qam

Search by Neywork.....ON

Search......

In the morning you should have found all your channels.

Have a look at the frequency of the channels you are missing by pressing OK on your remote control when you are viewing that channel.

The frequency will be in the bottom left corner of the screen EG.***Mhz

When you have a note of the frequency of your missing channel or channels, do a factory reset as this will get your box to your channels and favourites settings before the scan.

Then do a Manual scan for your missing channels.

To do a manual search on the replay lite box.

Menu,
User Installation,
Manual Search?.OK
Up pops the Manual Search box.
Press the yellow button on your remote control.

Channel number: CH 1.

Frequency:.........323 (what ever freq you want)

Symbol Rate:.......6887

Constellation:.....64 QAM.

Search By Network:..ON.

Search

The box will find a number of channels on your selected frequency.
When the search is finished, Select VIEW.

The new channels will be now stored at the bottom of your channel list.

Eg: If you already had 120 channels stored, the new ones will be stored from 121 onwards.

The manual search will find some channels you already have, just delete them using the Channel manager

Hiya, I'm in Dublin too and had the same problem.

I ordered this http://tinyurl.com/4bfzot power Adapter off e-bay for 4Eur, I am yet to receive it but when i do I will let you know if it works or not.

Failing that, you can PM fergusb or get one in Maplins for 30Eur just make sure you bring your faulty one with you.
