i rang up over my console on monday, its been 2 weeks since they got it, so thought id check up and i got told its been fixed and will be with me in 2-3 days so shud have mine 2day or 2moro.
minewas also sent of with a flashed drive, just wander what drive i will get back, probably the benq

well after 2 years i finally got the RROD in my 360, what should i do? i dont live in the states so i dont have MS support arround here

Doesn't matter, you should still get a replacement. Try calling them, you DO have a three year warranty.

OK so listen to this one. I have a modded X-BOX 360 that I bought already modded off the net. It worked fine for 2 years, and then I got the RROD. I didn't touch the unit for 2 weeks, and then today I turned it on just as I was about to ship it off for repairs. No RROD, and the unit is working fine. Anybody ever hear anything like this? I thought the unit was supposed to be totally dead once the RROD appeared?

i got my 360 back yesterday in the post. i had sent it back with a flashed hitatchi drive, its come back with the same drive but unflashed, so i persume they put a new one in, but wudda thought i'd of got the benq, thats what my friend got in his a few weeks ago.
all in all service was good, was less than the 15 workin days, so im happy.
only thing is i cant connect to live keep gettin error codes but dont know what they mean

really thats a bit crap. is there anywere i can find out what all the codes mean, it comes up with fouor of them, each one startin with a letter like w or y an so on

Not really crap, it's nice of them that they replaced your console at all. I suggest you call up Microsoft and ask them what those codes are. They cant really make it any worse, and they might help you out.

ok cool will do thx for the help. i only said it was crap cos my friend sent his flashed 360 off an he got a benq drive back an he wasnt banned.

ive just done some readin and it appears that Z: 8015 - 190D is a code for a banned console and im getting
z: 8007-2741 so gonna ring an see what it means exactly

i sent mine to microsoft with the rrod they repared it and sent it back no problems, was completely fixed...and it was flashed when i sent it

What's this "flash" you guys speak of?
Is it a '360 with a flashdrive[removable harddrive] in it?

i think if you go to xbox support and register you can put in the serial number of your xbox and then they will know when you bought it i dont remember sending my receipt off with my console

I've had my 360 for about 2 months and occasionally I get the rrod(top left, bottom right & left) on startup, but it always works if I just restart it. Out of curiosity, does anyone no what my rrod code means and if I should send it in for repairs (considering it still works)? If I do send it in, will I get my original hdd back in the same condition I sent it in, or is all previous game information lost?

eparker 89 when you send your console in for repair you do not send in your hdd or any leads or power brick just the console so all your game data is kept by you

a flashed xbox means that it has been flashed so it will read backup discs of your original games

One of mine just decided to blow out - got the damn ring of death - all four too - *bleep* microsoft *bleep* you :) the 360 is awesome for games and multi-player but the hardware kinda sux.
Pros:
live
games
halo
burned games on live
Cons:
shitty hardware
