@Ofnir1

That's it. Has all ways worked for me. I never tried with a card reader, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Also if you do make a pandora battery goto psp-hacks.com and look for a file called XMB normal boot. It allows you to keep your battery in pandora mode, but you have two MS one boots pandora(MAGIC MS) and the other one would be used to boot the PSP normally. You never have to change your battery back to normal. This way if your the only one you know of with a modded PSP and you brick you can just use the Magic MS and boot to pandora and fix.

i used pandoras battery to downgrade my friends psp to 1.5 then gave him 3.52M33 then we went and pressed L and R at that pandora menu. then we put the battery in the psp but the screen stays black even after we took out the memory stick. so he bought a new battery and he still gets a black screen, the only time the psp works is when he has the charger plugged in with no battery. PLZ HELP!!!!

@ ovrfiendx

Thanks for the info, that is great idea. I should do that in case if I lose the Datel Tool Battery.

Oh yeah, the MS Pro Duo card reader arrived today! Much easier than using the PSP as a card reader :)

My psp is a TA-082 and 3.03OE and while playing a game, it suddenly hangs(lockup;whatever button i press, it wont respond)so i pull the batt out and now it doesnt turn on! the battery charges and when i plug the AC cord w/o the batt and turn it on, the screen wont come out(the screen doesnt turn on)green light stays for about 30 secs and then disappears.. is this a bricked?also will pandora worked if my psp doesnt boot w/o the AC cord?will it automatically boot when i put in pandora?

P.S. i didn't meddle with anything(flash,etc) just play downloaded games.

You messed it up somewhere... what firmware are you on?

It could be that your battery has refused the new eeprom code. Some 3rd party batteries don't work with pandora.

You followed all the steps for making the memory card?

Not sure why the menu isn't showing, but no, you shouldn't have your charger in.

OK-What you need to do is when you first insert the battery into the psp that you are unbricking--is use the option to backup the nand, or make a nand dump...In order for you to be able to restore the nand dump you made, you have to rename it to "nandimage.flash" (sans quotations) And it goes into the root of the memory stick just like the "nand-dump.bin" You can try to do it over from the beginning-your idstorage should still be intact...Then when you go to restore the nand in the pandora menu, use the option of doing it without restoring the idstorage...If that doesnt work, you will need to get a fresh 1.50 nand dump from another psp...

Can this entire process not be able to be emulated from the PC while having the PSP connected via USB so that the battery can be sorted into a Pandora battery then that eliminates the need of having another homebrew psp.

The method of creating the Pandora Battery, requires another Homebrew PSP..Right???
Now instead of using the other psp to convert the battery can we not use PC > CABLE > PSP and perform the process using the PC.

Does that make any sense to you at all.
