When u run the program to make the battery there, will be a few options, change to Pandora battery, change to orginal battery, change to orginal battery that auto power on when inserted, back up eeprom, write eeprom. Just backup the eeprom, convert it to pandora then write the eeprom back when done, u dont need to have the eeprom saved, backup, n write back, but it is recommended that u do it this way.

^^Thats what the word on the streets is...3.60 firmware on the new slims...
I was not aware that you couldn't create the files from an OE firmware-does it mention that in the readme file?

The readme tells you to install 3.71 M33 on 3.52 M33 Update 3/4 or higher ONLY!!
Also seems like new sony battery cannot be converted, but then there is still the Toool battery from datel, n crap...

Edit: Off topic but does anyone know if those Visa Gift cards n/or American Express gift cards can purchase stuff online through PAYPAL?

I think he (pspfreak1)is trying to get the files on the magic memory stick so it can be used for getting custom firmware on the psp slim.
That sucks about the new batteries...I guess people wanting to make a pandora battery now will have to use the one that came with their psp- Heres a clip from that article...
Written by Fanjita "It wouldn't be surprising for Sony to have patched their batteries so that they're Pandora-proof. If this is true, then it still shouldn't be a big problem - I'd recommend buying a new, large capacity battery to use as a regular battery, and using the original battery that came with your PSP for Pandora. And of course, you can always use Booster's multi-IPL loader to use your Pandora battery as your primary battery, if you want. Just don't go buying new Sony batteries for use with Pandora."
**as far as your gift card situation-I dont know if they would let you use them or not-But maybe..You would think that you would just have to register the card number to use for payment...I would contact them to make sure though..

I always thought that you can change it back and forth on the psp. Like make the battery a jig. Kick but when you insert the battery it will give you a option. Jig kick or battery?
And when I am running the program to make my battery a jig kick it will give me the option to back up my eeprom?

You can change the battery into a jigkick and change it back with the program.
you can also do what u said, having a option, but then u will need files on your memory card (if u don't it will not boot) , and it seems to boot really slow, about 30sec till it boot. There may be another program/file thingy that i havent tried that may be faster though.

Hey guys
Heres the Question:
When u install the files necessary to downgrade the psp slim onto your MMS, the readme says
"Run the program. It will quickly extract some prx's overwrting some of the pandora memory"
Will this affect my ability to unbrick/downgrade any psp using my MMS + Pandora Battety?
Thanks

After u put the battery in, u shud put the MMS. the memory stick light and the other light by it (i think its the network one) will flash for a moment, and the psp screen shud flash white. u will then be given an option whether to downgrade or not. press X.
Hope this helps

Nope Sorry. You Need a another psp that can run homebrew e.g. 1.5 or Custom M55/OE. OR Buy a Pandora Battery/MagicStick or Loan Some Of these things from a mate to create a pandora

hey guyz...i was tryin to use pandora's battery for the slim psp and...i converted my fat psp's battery into a service mode "jigkick" one.
I backed up the eeprom but when i flash the original eeprom it says: flash eeprom from ms0:eeprom.bin
warning: error writing address at 0x24 or sumfin...then it says done.
Now i read some thing about the error on other sites and they said that it was normal....but after doing the flashing process to make my battery a nomal one again it won't work after i turn it off.....any1 know what to do?
My PSP life: 1.50>2.00>2.71>3.03> 3.30(Noooo!!!)>3.50>3.50HEN>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52M33>1.50.3.40OE-A>3.52M33>3.52M33-4>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52>3.52M33-4
Plainin to get the slim (moddified) BUT IT THE ONLY THING IS THAT IT HAS NO 1.50 KERNEL!{^_^}

The error code means it can't write the backed up code, it'll stay as a Pandora...

um, when you say save the eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin, do you write ms0:/ or something else (like file:/).
I'm just confused, cause i wanna turn to 1.5, then upgrade to 3.3.
P.S., can this work on no-homebrew psp's (regulars)?

The files that are overwritten are in the KD folder on the magic memory stick-you may or may not have trouble when using the newly converted memory stick to go back and unbrick/downgrade a fat psp-Worst case, you will have to recreate the memory stick to use for fat psp's-I would try running the installer-but first backup the kd folder from the magic memory stick to your computer-and then after you successfully enable custom firmware on the slim-try using the battery and memory stick on a fat psp and see if it downgrades...? If not, restore the KD folder you backed up to your computer and then try to downgrade the fat psp..
