You can change the battery into a jigkick and change it back with the program.
you can also do what u said, having a option, but then u will need files on your memory card (if u don't it will not boot) , and it seems to boot really slow, about 30sec till it boot. There may be another program/file thingy that i havent tried that may be faster though.
thanks i think that i will just make it a jig kick. and leave it at that

I guess I'm not understanding exactly what you are trying to do-Are you trying to create a pandora battery? DO you have a psp that is currently running custom firmware or is running 1.50?? You are aware that you cannot make a battery without the above mentioned firmwares, correct?

As far as the battery being fool proof-there is a chance that it will not work correctly even if you restore the batterys eeprom-which is why the creators of the pandora program recommend using a spare battery.

And you personally do not write ms0:/ (ms0:/ represents the root of your (m)emory (s)tick (0 being the topmost folder)-its an option in the pandora battery creator menu-it gives you the option to backup (or restore) your eeprom...

The files that are overwritten are in the KD folder on the magic memory stick-you may or may not have trouble when using the newly converted memory stick to go back and unbrick/downgrade a fat psp-Worst case, you will have to recreate the memory stick to use for fat psp's-I would try running the installer-but first backup the kd folder from the magic memory stick to your computer-and then after you successfully enable custom firmware on the slim-try using the battery and memory stick on a fat psp and see if it downgrades...? If not, restore the KD folder you backed up to your computer and then try to downgrade the fat psp..
well, in that case, i guess im screwd:p i already overwrote the files in the kd folder before backing it up (i read deez_nutz's reply today)....I guess i gotta hope it works if i wana downgrade any psp

thanks

^^it may still work for downgrading/unbricking fats after you use it for the slim-give it a try-
Like I said the worst that can happen is it wont work-and you'll just have to remake the memory stick again.

i am having problems....i followed the steps and redid it numerous times and i still end up with "corrutped data" on the modded psp even tho i redownloaded the files and made sure it was installed properply on my 4GB sandisk pro duo.
Could it be that the modded psp isnt running OE or M33 or 1.5?? my friend's modded psp is running some sorta firmware i am not familiar with its 3.30 EE or something a rather....

help please T_T

@Takato.....

I don't think that you should be using a 4GB memstick 'cause if you read the instructions...it says use a memstick pro duo less than 4GB and recomends using somthing smaller..but i would be recommendin that u be usin a 512Mb 'cause that's what i used to downgrade my psp with pandora (even though there wasn't anything wrong with my PSP...i was just bored and downgraded it 4 fun lol) {^_^}

My PSP life: 1.50>2.00>2.71>3.03> 3.30(Noooo!!!)>3.50>3.50HEN>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52M33>1.50.3.40OE-A>3.52M33>3.52M33-4>1.50>3.40OE-A>3.52>3.52M33-4

Plainin to get the slim (moddified) BUT IT THE ONLY THING IS THAT IT HAS NO 1.50 KERNEL!{^_^}

Sounds like he might have 3.40 LE installed. Could be wrong. When exactly do you get the corrupt data error? I would suggest installing M33 3.52-4 on the modded PSP. Then look for the GUI made by mrdude. The GUI makes it very easy to create the battery. Both can be found at psp-hacks.com. It should go without a problem if you use what I suggested.

@ovrfiendx

Umm now that u mentioned it, i really do believe its 3.30 LE i might have to check his psp again (he got it flashed at some sorta chinese store). Aside from that, i get the corrupt data error when i run the files on the PSP even tho the installation process was error free using the installer.

Also, thxs for the suggestion but being as is..i am still new to the PSP commmunityy xD

He could be running OE also. I never seen an EE firmware(not to say it doesn't exist).
I've never used LE but I believe it still contains the recovery menu that OE and M33 use. Accessed by holding R shoulder button while booting up. If you are using the GAME folder make sure it is set to run 1.50 kernel in recovery.

If you are using the GAME150 folder then I'm not real sure maybe it's LE causing the problem, but in the original Pandora's Battery readme file it says this "A PSP with a Custom Firmware such as OE, M33 or WC, or a PSP with the 1.5 original kernel." The WC stands for Wild Card who created LE so I take it as LE is compatible.

I know this is basic but you said you are rather new at this so I wasn't sure HOW new you are.

um, yes, i have 3.40 oe-*. I tried to create it, but it (the screen) just turned black (for both programs). I changed the kernel, and there was no difference. And after a while, it said program could not be run. What do i do?

Also, when you say format it,(the ms) do you mean to computer format it (so go to my computer, click format), or psp format.

It sounds like you missed something along the way-you should go back and re-read the instructions on how to make the battery again...

you can use your 2gb using pandora. but regarding on the battery, for me you should have a spare battery so that when something messes up you still have 1 battery left(its just a precaution). and dont forget to back up your eeprom.

Sig under re-construction... sorry creaky i didn't see your request.. im sorry for real..

@nickyl

It's best to have a spare battery, but a spare Mem Stick will do also.

If your using a spare battery then use your original battery for this as some new batteries will not work with Pandora.

If you use a spare Mem Stick then you will install the Pandora files on one and use Normal Boot Loader on the other. Now with that done you can use the Normal boot MS to boot up the PSP as normal, or use the other MS to boot to Pandora's menu. This is the method I use since I don't have a spare battery. It works great and I always have Pandora with me and ready to use at any time.

For making the Magic Mem Stick I suggest using mrdude's GUI. It is the easiest way to make the MMS.

I would stay away from DA's new universal unbricker unless you have a slim as he has not yet released his 1.50 kernel patch.

If you need more help/info let me know.

Any of the original creators of this installer willing to make a universal magic memory card with the new universal unbricker just released. If not, then maybe one that works for the slim, since as far as I understand this installer doesn't work for the slim. Thanks.

Do it manually, don't rely on Installers all the time.

GUYS I NEED SOME HELP!!!

i wanted to change my psp slim wave, so i opened up flash 0 (i backed it up first) and put in the file "system_plugin_bg.rco". I then wanted to free up some space, so i took a random font, copied it to my desktop, renamed it "jpn0.pgf" and put it back in the font file. it went well. Now when i exit recovery mode, the psp gets to the start screen, but just freezes!!!!!

HELP HELP HELP!!!

Then just go into recovery and replace flash0 with the backup you made.
