Damn that's unlucky to brick from a minor firmware patch :/
Looks like you'll have to use your Pandora Battery to fix it...
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

Yes, you can, using the XP format utility instead of the PSP one.

PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

only suggestion would be to recreate the memory stick in a hacked psp maybe if a friend has one if not try another memory stick or computer with a cardreader to re create the mem stick

Try making the UPMS instead, you'll have to use this guide since your PSP is bricked.

PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

Magic gate showed as supported on your PSP information?
The card you're using is fine, no idea what could be wrong, in fact, nothing should be wrong because it gets as far as formatting the flash without any problems, it would tell you if files were missing...

magic gate showed up as supported...
the following is what i get on the screen of the slim:
loading updater modules... ok
formatting flash0... ok
formatting flash1...
and that is where it hangs.
i've read that the only way to get my slim running is to put the magic stick and the pandora battery in another slim, and do a nand dump and then place them back in mine and restore using the nand dump file on the mms.
do i have to install 3.71m33 in the other slim before doing the nand dump?
i'm planning to use my brother's slim...he's running the OFW ...3.90 i think.
thx for ur help

Well, i wouldn't think it was a NAND brick, and using the NAND from another PSP on your own is very dangerous, only use it as a last last resort... I don't see any reason it should hang when formatting flash1 either :/

1) What to your email?
2) You can't give out emails here.
@ pspnoobi3 - No, you can make it with a card reader so the cybershot should do fine.
