By the way, Deeznuts. You really need to update your 'guide' on V4. There is no instructions what so ever on how to work the new UPMS.
What are you having troubles with? The guide should be pretty much self-explanatory.
i want you to talk about the nand backup, idstorage backup, sleep fix over boosters. For the new comers. By the way, i love the new UPMS. I like the black backround with the colors and the updated icon. Very well done, this is all the pandora you need!

Is it possible to install all the "Despertar Del Cementerio" [i.e v3, v4 and v5] at the same time ??? o_O

I mean when you boot the UPMS with the "L" trigger, all the options can be used >_>

You can convert your battery back to a normal battery after the process is over :)
Juz be sure to make a backup of your battery eeprom first and then convert your battery :)
Well, as for the magic memory stick, you can format it and you can use it as a normal memory stick again :)

And yes :)
You can use this method to downgrade 3.51 OFW [Well, this method can downgrade "any" PSP firmware]

If you have a custom theme set, then remove it :)
If you have a custom "flash 0" theme set, then replace it with the original "flash 0" :)

I have done a few fat PSP's with this upms method and they have all worked great... many thanks!

However, today I tried my first slim PSP. It's a white 2003 with fw version 3.60

Using the pandoras battery and magic memory stick nothing happens, just a green light on the PSP, the memory stick light doesn't flash at all. I tried it in a fat PSP and it works...

The only other odd thing I found was the fat PSP I am using will not load other pandoras battery programs, only the upms one. The program file shows in the menu and when it's run I get a message saying game could not be started.

I have searched around and read for about 3 hours about this today but not found an answer.... yet... ;)

any suggestions?

THis is exactly what happened to me n i even Update a FAT psp using a slim back then too....

The installation is fairly easy? Just download the required files and place them onto your PSP. Then install step by step. Or has it REALLY changed because I still got the one where it only upgrades to 3.8M33-5. Haven't got V-4.

Quick question: I was reading in another spanish forum a guy that posted a way to create the magic stick and pandora battery without the need of using a CFW PSP.

I know you can use the software to create the magic memory, but can you create a pandora battery without the CFW? I mean without using the Pin5?

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

The only real changes that have been made from V3 UPMS and V4 is the firmware version it will install as well as no longer having the joker menu included. V4 Installs 3.90M33-3, whereas V3 installed 3.80M33-5...The 1-4 steps for installation are the same, and have been for some time. As each new version comes out, there are usually a few minor changes to how the menu is presented, or a different feature is added to the menu-thats about it. As long as the steps are followed on this guide as well as the steps in the UPMS cso program-you will have a successful install and have a fully functioning UPMS setup-.

I have not heard of, nor have I read that it is possible to make a pandora battery without either cutting the pin, or having a psp with custom firmware already running-All of the guides I have come across give the instructions to create the memory stick, and then give you your options for the battery-Which have all been "Purchase a Datel tool battery, or find someone with a psp running CFW" I think that is one of the reasons why they came out with that Datel tool battery because so many people were having trouble finding a friend that has a CFW-enabled psp to make their battery for them.

Thanks I imagined that, the dude will recommend to break pin5, but he hasnt stated that he can damage either the battery or the psp by doing that, so I just let the admin and mod know about it, cause we want to avoid damages made there!

hi, just wondering how possible it is for the umps program to upgrade a psp to custom firmware like those from m33? because from those instruction of making the pandora batt/magic memory stick i don't see there are steps for placing in those custom firmwares files. instead official firmwares are placed in, i'm confused at this part.

The custom firmware files are built into the UPMS program-You just need the official firmware updates on the root of your memory stick for it to work.

If you follow the guide as it is laid out-you will be successful.

I would recommend following the steps on the UPMS program as such:
From the Splash screen-press X to continue if you are running a custom firmware less than 3.80M33-If you are running 3.80M33-5 and above, you will need to install the fatms371.prx by pressing Square in order to allow it to write the IPL.

Once you have done that, you can continue to step#1
Step 1: Your choices are:
-Install Time Machine IPL
-Install Standard Pandora IPL
-Install Boosters Multi-IPL
-Install Sleep-Fix Multi IPL
I have always used either Boosters, or the Sleep-Fix IPL (either way, if you plan to use all of the functions of UPMS-you will need a Multi-IPL installed)

Step 2: This is where you create your battery-It will automatically make a backup of your batteries eeprom before you start-From there just select 'create pandora battery'-pretty simple

Step 3: Firmware Menu.
Select 'Install UPMS with Utilities(slowest)'-It will install all of the extras from step #4 If you select 'Install UPMS without Utilities' you will have to follow step #4 and install the utilities manually.

Step 4: You can skip this if you selected 'Install UPMS with utilities'-Otherwise, this is where you would install the individual programs.

->As far as answering your question about what is Time machine?

It is a hybrid of 1.50 and 3.40 firmwares-used to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from your memory stick-It is useful for running software that is not supported anymore, such as older homebrew on your slim psp-Also it is used for developers to test their homebrew on different firmwares. It is also used to boot your psp if the internal memory (or flash) is destroyed completely. You will need to install the Time Machine IPL from step #1 if you plan to utilize the time machine features
