Im sorry for the questions but:

With the guide, I am ONLY using a Fat PSP to make the magic stick and pandora battery. At what point do I use them to downgrade the slim PSP running 3.71 official FW.

Thanks

at the end when you have chosen which cfw you wanted to write to the MS, once you have written the cfw to the MS you put them in the ofw psp.

pspman29 yes it says it in the title of the thread

I love psobb but i need a credit card # to get back on :(

Did you really need to ask what "Quiet Now" meant?

It was a typo and has been corrected.

Sorry, Im totally scared right now:

Heres is where im up to:

"Go to Quit Now after the Battery has been converted and it will exit to XMB."

Now, do i put the battery and memory stick into the other PSP (Slim) which im downgrading? to do below..

Turn off the PSP and take out the Battery then re-insert the Battery back in the PSP and the Universal Unbricker Menu should come up. press X to install 3.71 M33 to the PSP.

Again something that i will edit and make more clear but come on guys. The hole point of making a Magic memory Stick and Pandora Battery is to unbrick or install custom firmware to a PSP.

So what do you think?

Do you think running the Magic Memory Stick and Pandora Battery in the Custom Firmware PSP that created it is going to magicly unbrick or install the custom firmware to the other PSP that you need to unbrick or install custom firmware to?

I am getting tired of the questions being asked that can be answered by using common sense.

Use your brains people.

Ok took ms and pandora battery out the psp with cfw and placed inside the slim. I get a black screen, no flashing ms light. I will make another magic stick and try again.

you don't need to do this, just search for the cfw you want to upgrade to like 3.90 Easy Installer and your all set.

To all you guys that put such hard work into this scene Thank You. I am more of a PS3 person, but i bought a PSP for my son. I really want to mod this thing, and i have tried numerous guides. I truely beleive the guides work, however I seem to be having a problem. This is what i have,

PSP slim version 2001
3.90 OFW
SanDisk MS Pro Duo 2.0 GB
Sony Fat 3.6v 2200mAh battery Model PSP-280(bought this one)
Sony Slim 3.6v 2200mAh battery Model PSP-280 (came with Slim PSP)

What i get when i try to install using the guide on page 1. I make it all the way through how ever there are two things that concern me
1. Just before copying files i notice an error that says
No DPMI server_FPU support (but it still copies files.
2. I do not get the PSP MS IPL Installer Screen at the
completion screen.

Then when i disconnect via USB, and goto GAMES>MS I have 4 visible files, and 1 corrupt file. I can click on all 4 files, and of course I get the "GAME CAN NOT START THING". I hope all the information helps you help me. Thanks in advance

Everything makes sense but i don't get this part
"Now use the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery on the PSP that needs to be unbricked or Custom Firmware installed to."

First you put the Magic Memory stick in psp, then you put the pandora in, and then????????

@Amity45

Yes this guide will work.

@HaD3z

All those files are normal (even the corrupt file). Now you need to convert the Battery to a Pandora Battery or buy a Datel Tool battery.

@Khoi1994

Place the Magic Memory Stick into the PSP then the Pandora Battery and the Pandora Menu will come up. If it doesn't then you need to redo the Magic memory Stick.

For non 1.50 users, can we just delete the Pandora's Battery Creator( and keep the OS pandora battery tool0.5)

Or should we keep?

and one more question...
somewhat offtopic, but
what is 1.50 kernel, i heard that psp slim don't have.
will this make my slim have options cutted out?

Is there really a "time machine" and can it really put 1.50 kernel on slims?
if so,
please link to a guide.

Thanks in Advance.

And Ty for response

ok I ran the installer again, still isn't working for me. The sizes of the files that installed are as followed
mux 2.0 224KB
OS Pandora Battery Tool 0.5 96KB
M33 3.71Upadte 320KB
1.50 Kernel 14MB
Corrupt file 64KB
Pandora's Battery 48KB

Does that sound right?
I see all the files (except corrupt) but they won't start.

You won't get them to start till you install custom firmware to the PSP. If you have an official Firmware PSP then you will get the "Game could not be started" error.

As stated above you will need to create a Pandora Battery and install the custom firmware using the Magic Memory Stick + Pandora Battery.

To do this you will need a Custom firmware PSP to run the OS Battery Tool to convert the battery to a Pandora Battery or if you only have access to your Official firmware PSP you will need to Hardmod the Battery to a Pandora Battery or buy a Datel Tool battery. there is more information on that HERE in this guide.
