I extracted the files correctly

Someone previously said they had to uninstall AVG before they could get the program to run.

If you read the guide carefully, you do not run any applications on your PSP. You must buy a Datel tool battery.

I tested it out using a different drive. It works on a different drive which doesn't have AVG.

It's me again. I updated my PSP from 3.72 to 3.73 to play PATAPON while waiting for my Datel. Is it possible to still downgrade from this firmware? And is it possible to downgrade from 3.90 if I update. THANKS

If you go to the Univer_file and there is two folders. The ADD_ON and EasyInstaller. The Add_on folder is there. All the add_on has is the 1.50 and some useless homebrew apps.

To be safe, you should redownload the file.

Save the RAR file. Then if a file goes missing go inside the downloaded RAR to extract the missing files.

I just need to be on the safe side. My buddy wants me to put custom fw on a 3.93 ofw/slim. This guide does not specifically say that it will work for this ofw. I have used this method several times but never on 3.93. Please let me know.

Thank you.

@brobinson: The reason it doesn't specifically name what official firmwares it works with is because it works with all of them, which is why it ALSO doesn't list any official firmwares it doesn't work with. So, yes, rest assured if you follow the steps completely, it WILL work. The reason is because this method is not actually using any official firmware to run, it's circumventing that and running a special "unbricking firmware" via the memory stick and the pandora battery, thus what firmware you are running never enters into the equation.

@amcrespo: It sounds like maybe your memory stick wasn't set up properly. Try the alternative method I've posted near the bottom of page 7. I can't guarantee that it's going to work with Vista, though, so you may still end up needing to find a computer with XP, or setting up a dual boot system so you can run XP and Vista on your computer.

do you have to charge the datel tool batt when you first get it? once you get it, you just put the battery in the psp and let it charge right?

I have also ordered a Datel Tool kit. i read on the item descripton that it does both psp fat and slim battery mods. is that true? and is there any chance of it ruining my battery even i take precautions and charge it to full?

p.s. can you show me a guide, which i can make magic MS running on vista?

p.s. http://www.psp-hacks.com/2008/03/23/pandora-cmd-front-end/
