You will need to wait till media fire fixes the issue with their server.

You can also download the mirror file which is 1 complete file.

Hello all, another newbie here.
First i would like to say thank you to the creator of this guide and to all that have helped.

This guide worked flawlessly! But i have a problem.
I hardmodded my battery to pandora and then changed it back so i could use the psp. Then i got to thinking i should just go buy a new unmodded battery just to be safe.
It worked great for two days, then my son dropped it and i cant get it to turn back on. It still had the hardmodded battery in it.
I put in the brand new, fully charged battery and it would not turn on.
I put the hardmodded battery back in and it turns on and comes to the firmware install menu. So that tells me its not completely dead but i cant do anything with it but reinstall cfw 3.71 M33-2.
If i put the new battery in, I get nothing.
I have to memory sticks as well (one sony 32mb and one sandisk 2GB.
It seems no battery ms combo works. Help :-(

Take out the Battery and plug it in via AC Adapter and see if the PSP will boot. If it does then there is something wrong with the new battery you just bought.

I cant get it to boot with the ac adapter either. Only with the pandora.
If i put the pandora in and let it turn on then plug in the ac adapter it stays on. If i remove the pandora then put the new battery in and remove the ac adapter it stays on.

If your on 1.50 firmware then go HERE and use this guide to the latest firmware that will run Final Fantasy.

Very nice tutorial. Worked perfectly with a PSP Slim 3.71 Sony Firmware. Now I'm using 3.71 M33-4.

This is my first PSP modding experience. Quick question to everyone. If I upgrade to 3.80/3.90 M33, will it still be possible to downgrade to 3.71 M33 just simply by running the application again? Or do I have to go through the Pandora process again?

Thanks!

Great Guide.. really quite universal.

OFW 3.95 --> 3.90 m33-2

Except now, my X and O buttons got set to the North American setup (where X = Select; O = Cancel). I liked the setup my Japanese PSP had (the reverse of the N.A. setup). Is there any way to switch them back?

you can switch to the japanese setup.

fully turn off the psp. turn it back on, but hold the right trigger down. this should bring up recovery mode.

go to registry hacks, and choose it. go to button assign, and make it say (currently O is enter). go back, and choose exit. the psp will restart, and the buttons will be switched.

it was with 3.80 m33 he started the network upgrade. 3.71 m33 and below would update to official firmware.

Thank You for the easy walkthrough. I was able to installed the firmware with no problems, but me being a NOOB I've got a couple of questions.

Now that I have the firmware, where do I put my ISO's? I already have some. Do I need a emulator?

I tried creating a ISO folder in the game file, but it will say corrupt file. Please Help!! Thank You

BTW the iso's go in the iso folder at the root of the memory stick.

no other ways on 3.51+ official firmwares.

either follow the guide to get custom firmware, or keep your psp official and use umd discs.
