I already tried it.... at first, there was no error. as i started to download more games, even copying the extracted file (ISO/CSO) gets errors..... but, anyway, THX 4 ur help....
btw, is it alright to format my memory stick again? if so, i would want to use ur easy installer....

there are three major steps to be able to downgrade, make memory card, then make pandora battery, then flash your psp to custom firmware. You will know if the battery was made correctly when you install the battery without the power cord and you get no screen light up. just green power button lights up.
If you did not get that far then try again to make the pandora battery. if you got the pandora battery program to work off the memcard and successfully changed your battery to a pandora one and you cant get the mem card to run the firmware flasher program to change the psp then you need to try remaking the mem card again.
I found that is is possible to run the pandora battery maker off the mem card even if you dont do it exactly right, problem is that you wont be able to run the firmware flasher, it will just sit there with the green light on with the pandora battery installed.
Please let us know more detail of what you are doing, is working and not working. And good luck.

after i run the script; after the data transfer to the psp is complete, it says "cannot open logical drive" in the message. What does this mean? And is it preventing me from creating a magic memory stick?
pls help!

elemba,
If you mean the green light comes on but not the screen, that means your battery is doing what it is supposed to after pandora-izing it, but can not boot the memory card program that flashes the psp firmware.Or another words, the mem card did not turn out right. Try redoing the memory card again, paying close attention to what happens, if you see something different than what the guide is saying(pictures and text) report back because that information is important to helping you with your specific problem.
I had this problem and kept redoing the memory card part till I got it right. Hope this helps.

Sorry for making a redundant post, but I wanted to have the procedure clear from the beginning:
1. make mem card
2. make pandora battery (making nandump first)
3. flash psp with firmware.
Now here is my question:
At the end (possible step 4.), is it necessary to revert the pandora battery to its normal state? or can you leave it so and it always boot from the mem stick? (without making any acrobatics of taking in-out battery/mem stick).

10Chrs,
If you want to use the battery to play your psp games you will have to change it back since it will not boot psp after changed to pandora. If you dont mind having your psp pluged in to power supply you can just use that but it kind of defeats the purpose of the psp being portable. It is real easy to change the battery back to normal with the pandora program though if you want portability again. In my case I went to Kmart and found batteries on sale for 4.00 a piece for the psp. Sony ones too. So I leave one battery set up for flashing, and then use the new ones to play games.
Hope this helps.

Convert the battery back to normal.
If you hardmodded it then undo the hardmod or buy a new battery.

if you hardmodded, you have to resolder the pin back.
if you use the battery creator, you will need the eeprom, that you should have backed up.

O.K.- I'm using WIndows XP SP2. The prob is creating the memory stick. When i run The TotalNewbi Easy Installer, the script comes up and i do everything it says. When it starts to transfer everything to the psp, at the top, it says:
"Warning: NO DPMI-server FPU support"
,but it still transfers everything to the psp. Then, at the end when everything is done, I get this message:
"PSP MS IPL Installer
Load IPL code e:/msipl.bin
241664 bytes(54 block)readed
Cannot open logical drive.
Press any key to continue. . ."
After that it says thank you and you press any key to finish the program. When I put the memory card back into the psp and the pandora battery after it, the psp turns on by itself but the screen is black with nothing on it. Can you tell me what the message in the script means and what I can do to fix it. Please, I really need this help! Appreciated.

the only way to get the installer working is on a 32bit XP system. 64bit and vista have problems with the installer.
