tried unplugging method at 15%, didnt work
did full update, got dual channels, but can still get into settings mode NP
Began playing the Crap out of this KICK ASS GAME.
did u have four or so corrupt files whenu downloaded? if so, how did u fix them, i've tried everything. something i must be doing wrong. please assist.
I've tried re-downloading the corrupt files from usenext, but only 3 of them turned out fine. I gave up and am downloading from torrents on mininova... I'd suggest you do the same/ download a new set from rapidshare on forumw.

ive only heard of verbatim being the best ones to use they cost me $55 for 25 but at least when the US release comes out i can play that without problems, use IMG burn it works perfect with dual layer disks and games. your HP ones will probably be ok.

Thanks for the advice guys, going to buy some Verbatim disks right now. Is Nero a good burning program to use or should I go for IMG burn? Also, if I do just update the damn thing and get dual channels, would there be any way to get rid of them in the future?

I heard of corruption issues with the Usenext files. Can anyone confirm that they got them working? I'm downloading them right now and I don't want to waste the time if there just going to be corrupted.

In my experience, nero sucks for dual layer burning and I would recommend Clone CD.

I used the original single layer disk of smash brawl with no brickblock and did the 10%-15% and the game ran perfectly with my brickblocked single layer disk.

After that I burnt a dual layer disk atched with the new brickblocker and as soon as I put it into my wii it ran smooth and simple. No swaping or anything required. I can watch all videos and play the virtual console games I've unlocked.

The only problem is sometimes the videos pause or skip but by no more than a second so its all good. I've unlocked basically everything including stages and im holding smash party's now. I downloaded the iso from a torrent/s and it was corrupted but then I just unrared them again deleting the corrupted files and everything worked fine.

Thanks to everyone for their help Wifi doesn't work but perhaps friend battles will work. Thanks again im glad to havethe game working no problem.

Is it true that if you use region frii on the DL disc, you don't have to change change the settings for region override on the config disc for wiikey?
Also, what are some good DL DVDs that have been already successfully used for the DL version of the game.
Lastly, has anyone experienced any problems yet after doing the 15% trick after playing the game for a while?

Here's my status with the dual layer iso..

Burned at 2x with Clone CD on a Verbatim Dual Layer DVD+R. No modifications like brickblocker and whatnot.

I have a wiikey with the 1.9g update and 3.1U firmware

Installed full update from the single layer disc and I have the 2 extra channels and can still access my config settings.

Burned dual layer works perfectly and I was able to beat the first stage of Subspace Emissiary and all of Classic Mode on easy.

Verdict = Success

If anyone has a legitimate copy to try out, let us know!

Yes, it is true with regionfrii you do not need to turn region override on.
Some good dual layer disks would be Memorex, Verbatrim and TDK I can trust those to work fine although TDK by far the best I've tried.
So far no problems with me at all. PLays fine and everything works great as if I never disconnected durring the update in the first place.

@beertent- about your question over whether I have an NTSC-U wii, Yes, it is an NTSC-U and it is with a wiikey both updated to most recent firmware. I burnt my games with imgburn at the lowest speed possible. Everything worked without a single hitch.

I have a question about the save files, will the NTCS-J save files work with the NTCS-US version of Brawl? I don't see why not but I'm not sure.

Let me just check my NTSC-U version of Brawl. Oh wait...

It's possible that the save files will be compatible, but nobody knows.

Make sure your modchip goes with your Wii. Like if you have a D2C Wii, then you have a D2C Wiikey. And unless you're very good at soldering, then you might want a professional to do it. But besides that, you've got everything.

Well, you'll also need a couple single-layer DVDs to update the wiikey. Also, you'll want to use the newest version of wii brickblock on the SSBB ISO. I'm sure you already know this, but you'll also need the tools to mod your Wii, a tri-wing screwdriver and soldering iron.

D2C? Is that the name of the certain BIOS on the Wii? So are there different versions of the Wiikey for the different chips?

That refers to the Wii's DVD chip version. Check here: http://psx-scene.com/forums/wii-modchips...ial-number.html

to see which chip you have.

Edit: If you got your Wii relatively early, it should be fine with Wiikey.

Has anyone had any success burning a DL version of the iso using Nero Express?
Also, with what type of disc and either +R or -R.

actually the only thing I know about the save file is that is around 500mg. Pretty damn huge for a save file if you ask me. But who knows. It should be compatible because I got a save file for Naruto EX2 and it worked fine. This link tells you all you'd want to know about save files. Link here If any of you come across a save file for SSBB please pm me.

Theres no way the save file is 500mb. The wii only has 512mb of memory. I havent checked but I doubt the save file is larger than 10mb.
