Multirar the file and put it on 2 single layer DVDs.

Ok for all those having problems with the wiizard iso and have a usa wii with wiikey, it is most likely the media you guys are using to burn it.
I burned on crappy datawrite DL discs before and like a lot of other people, it would keep giving a white screen after creating a save file saying "unreadable disc" message.
Today I got some Verbatim DL discs burned at 2.4x using imgburn (no manual layer breaks or any modifications to the iso). And it plays the game perfectly.
Using wiikey 1.9g with usa wii, wii was updated to latest version including the update on the smash bros disc.

Indeed...

I was getting owned by my 2 buddies last nite for about 2 1/2 hours...

I honestly don't know why Nintendo didn't put some kind of cd keys into the game, heck even one printed in manual that you had to enter first time just like PC games that multiplay online...

Hope someone can help me on this one. I've got the japanese version of brawl (DVD5) working on my wii (with a wiikey). But, naturally, i prefer the NTSC-u version of the game. I have got an ISO of the game (WZRD, or how you spell it :) ), but my wii is a Pal. I got the 3.2E update. Can i play the game, by just burning the iso to a, say Verbatim DL, and insert it, without doing any new setup to my wii?

Thanks :)

Yes but you will have to run the update on the disc. This will give you duplicate News and weather channels but you can move them out of sight so it doesn't bother you.
I have the same set up and all is well.

Because you have the latest firmware it will not update that so there is no danger of bricking. But it will update other stuff resulting in the duplicate channels.
Don't worry when it says you need to update, just let it do it's stuff.

When it gets real quiet, I can almost hear the faint whirrrr of the thousands of DVD Roms backing up this game and Wiis playing it.

Did anyone else with a Wiikey panic? I had seen a backup compatible with D2Ckey, but not only was the Wiikey site down, an update seemed weeks or months away, Wiinewz.com crashed and a retail disk wouldn't work either. Anyone have any idea what this means for the wiikey in the future? Are there going to continue to be brave souls willing to attempt to disable their wiikey for the greater good? Will Afterdawn members continue to band together, deal with us noobs, and report their success and failures to the world or are we destined to be the HD-DVD of the modchip world?

I've read pages and pages of posts and if I ever get this game going, I thank you all. Even if I don't, thanks anyway. Just continue to tell me how much fun you're having with SSBB and I'll live vicariously through you.

After several failed attempts with memorex I tried some Verbatim 8x dl dvds, burnt one at 4x and what do you know it works. Very strange considering the Jap version works great with memorex. Finally, I can read whats going on :)

A lot of people are talking about using different types of DVD media. I have tried 3 types already and nothing has worked in 4 days of trying to get this to run. It has been my experience pre-dual-layer Wii that quality can make a difference in number of coasters but at the end of the day it seems to come down to success rate more than "media that the Wii likes".

Just so you all know, Memorex+R DL is RITEKD01 which is known for being 3rd class media. The Verbatim DL is MCC003, which is considered 1st class media. None of the above have worked for me so far.

On another note, some have mentioned different WiiKey settings. 3x vs 6x and region override on and off. Every time I go back to the config disk I see it set to 6x and OFF. Is this a bug?

No the wiikey settings cannot be read.

Something to do with 'stealth'.

So you have to save them and just be willing to accept that the config disk has changed the settings.

Hey guys, i was redirected to this thread for SSBB wii key talking so let me explain my situation.

Basically:
-bought a modded wii off a guy with the new 1.9g update
-burnt myself the dled SSBB USA wiizard version = got a disc error white screen
-took wii back and the "guys" SSBB burned version worked fine
-so i bought his copy, but was curious, so i remember him saying something about a CODE anD LAYER BREAKING
-after checking the forum i got what i did wrong and burnt SSBB again with the layer break code provided in the AD forum

BUT I STILL get the white screen during the INTRO, and also in the new ADVENTURE MODE

is it becaues im still doing soemthing wrong, or is it because im using the wrong dvd media.. i used a DL MEMEROX burnt at 2.4x

Please can someone help me out.
thanks.
