It works by sharing through the net. Box has to be connected to net 24/7 in order to receive channels.

I haven't card-shared myself, I just know what I have read on this on other forums & apparently there are vunerability issues about having your computer connected to the net in this manner.

i think basically your ip wud be logged and if they decide to start dishin the charges sheets out it would be hard for them but dont really know either

Hi I am new here and I got my 500c and did a dumb thing I flashed to dk's UK image except I am in the US so not much works. How can I go back to the original flash. I didn't back up the original?

Looks like you might have to find a friend with an image that works in your area.
Always make a backup of your image.

hi all,
in cork with dm500c, most of the channels gone except for basic, would it be worth my while to get the 500T. any ideas how long that has before it goes N3? have been on other sites and they say to get one but done know if that is just someone trying to sell me a box

hi i have a dreambox 500c and i had a guy install it for me about 6 months ago but i turnt it on the other day and now ive only itv 1 bbc 1 2 n 3 c4 and c5 working nothing else ? is there neway i can update it using the remote ? i went into tuxcom and var and keys and there is nothing there ? when i hit number 4 there is also nothing there ? please help :(

the encryption codes have been rolled to the next level. nagra 3. this has yet to be hacked therefore there is no solution.
we are all in the same position. read back on this post for more information.

they are img files. you should "flash" them to the box not burn them. Use dreamup

I know you should flash them with dreamup,but somehow the file no longer look like img files,they look like iso files somehow and when i try to load them on the box they do not go on
