ineed help.. my eurovox wont update, i got all the cables and i donwladed the program but it wont work. i tried teblack and the blue and they say wrong firmware and then i try red and it does nothing

first of all you need to know what box it is is it black max v 2008 or is it red or blue .. the red and blue has a silver strip on the front check here to see if any of them are your box http://www.freewebs.com/tempfix/redorblue.htm .....if its a blue box then try the link in my signature to check if its a blue clone or not

Thanks Tempo2006 and HiTeck ,I had already checked the box from previous threads on this forum but checked the box again as suggested from your sites and inside and out tells me it?s not a clone ? It will let me download firmware ufl blue box max 21/04/08 , 2.1 ok but when I try to load Kuro 28/04/08 off your or any link it comes up version not fit for your receiver after step 3 . At a complete loss now as it worked on the other boxes. Sorry for delay Saturday shopping! Anyone any idea what?s going off ?

kuro will not work on a blue box and should only be used on eurovox max v black 2008

thanks Karljd but I am almost sure I loaded kuro on the other blue boxes I did.( might be losing my mind as this one I seem to have tried eveything on previous threads! ) Should I try it with firmware ufl blue box max 21/04/08 , 2.1 only ? seem to have lost my way on this one.

yeah thats the most up to date firmware for genuine blue boxes,if you did load kuro on them boxes you will need to reflash them with the blue firmware

2a (Optional step: Press the Upload button to save your channel set up favourites etc as they currently are) Save this to a folder on your PC for use later.
3. Click on the 'download' button at the top of the screen.
4. The program will say 'Version 2.10 detected' (or it may say some other version!) and restart your Eurovox, it will then go through the downloading process, when finished it
will display 'Downloading is successful' .
5 . Press the Menu button on your remote, and then go into 'Config' menu and select 'Clear Data'
6. It will then ask for your PIN (default is 0000)
7.Then select 'Factory Default'
8. It will then ask you to select the symbol rate (I use 6.887 as I am on NThell Dublin).not sure if this matters at this stage though.
9. Press OK when 'Reset to Factory Default Settings' comes up
10. It will then say 'Wait to Factory Settings' and will then start to do a Full Power Scan (using the Symbol rate you selected earlier or you can change the symbol rate here)
11. It will then search through for channels, Go and make a cup of tea while it works away, do not interrupt it until it finishes.
12. It wil then exit to allow you to view your programs, but the code being updated message will probably come up for a while,
13. Put the box onto Sky Sports and go make another cup of tea. It may only take a few mins but again do not interrupt it (even if you think it is not working!)
14. Sky Sports will come up and all your channels will be back and you won't have to manually enter your codes anymore.
15. If you did the optional step at 2a, then browse to where you saved your file (CDF file) and click download in the lower box on the Kuro program, and it will reload your favourites etc. as
you originally had them.

the box is a red one for sure. wereon chor. too down here in cork,
whats hppening is that im getting as far as the detection of the 2.1 and then nohing happens after that

hi guys,
Ive downloaded the new firmware onto the eurovox max, but when on stages 9, to reset to default setting and begin the powerscan it stops whilst searching through for channels and displays 'PEAA' on the eurovox, on the tv it shows 'channel not currently available'.
help guys, what am i doing wrong?

just seen your message in my shout ... if its red you need red firmware dated 21/04/08 which you prob already have so if you detected the version thats good then you should just have to hit start but make sure your box is on standby and that all pipe connections are dissconected and scarts

I have new Eurovox Max black box, the box arrived blank, i have downloaded the latest firmware but when i tried to download the software to box it is says
version 2.10 detected and there is a start button, when i click on start it says on top Systems reset and nothing happen next, i have 2-3 times it is coming up same
Please help

When it is at the 'system reset' stage, unplug the box from the mains and then plug it back in. It should then kick in to life and go through the update.
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Im trying to update my mates eurovox black box too . Basically the same problem as yourself mate . When I click download it comes up firmware download version 2:10... COM3...then of course I click Start at which point nothing happens at all and the whole thing freezes.Then I have to end the programme and try again but the same keeps happening! The box just has a red and orange light on it .

hiya can anyone help i'v got a eurovox max v only had 2 movie channels so i tried to do a power scan. half way through it came up updating codes then the screen just went blank tried scanning again and putting in codes but its still blank is there anything i can do with the box and the remote cause i dont have the cable with the prongs

i have a red box. i have uploaded firmware a eurovox window comes up. i then tried to download on com port 3 and it says its waiting for the response form reciever. What does this mean?

Emulation key should be on by default, but if you want to check it - Menu and OK on Language Settings 4 settings appear - type 1968 and Emulation and Emm Capture will appear, leave Emm Capture disabled.
