Hi.
Sorry if this turns into a long post but I want to be as clear as possible.
I have the "eurovox max v 2008" box. Im with n*l in dublin.
I downloaded the file in the opening post of this thread and followed the instructions.
It didnt work. I then tried it again for the different symbol rates. This didnt work either. (I noticed that the subsequent times I tried to update the firmware it went through the steps slightly differently. The first time it power scanned by itself but there was a promt telling me to press ok which I did and then it did the power scan differently and this way in all subsequent attempts I made.)
So what happens anyway is I plug in my laptop, run the UFl, follow the steps on the config menue but afterwards I have no channels.
There is a blank table with a progress bar underneath stuck to 8% and an option to do the powerscan again (which wont actually do anything).

Easily fixed - Go to http://eko.4shared.com and go to "Eurovox", "Firmware" and download "28_04_08T" (or something to that effect) and flash as normal. This is a fix for precisely your problem. Good luck!

more likely red if its a max 2007 like the link says blue boxes are usually 2006

Hi Karl,
Quick question for you. Have flashed the Eurovox with latest Kuro Image V3. All is working just fine but how do I know if the autoroll function is actually working? Does it take long if codes change or what should I expect to see? reason I ask is that I was away for a week n a bit and when I got back, turned on TV, the codes were down. Checked them online and ended up manually inputting 00 code as was different than was there. Maybe if I waited it would have autorolled anyway? Just don't know what to expect or see?

boneill .. try unplug it for a few seconds ,when you turn it back on , go to S*Y Sports and it should auto update itself

Thanks to HiTeck and gbywater for the help and advice. Installed the additional firmware for the 8% problem. It worked! All channels scanned sucessfully. Just hope it auotrolls when the time comes. Thanks again.

Hi I'm new at this so I need some help. I've been following the step by step guides on the first page by SG8 and am stuck on step 4. I've clicked the top download button but it doesn't start downloading. The 'Firmware 2.10' box shows up but it flicks from COM1 to COM3. There is a 'start' button in the same pop up box and I've clicked it but it says that the reciever is not detected and says I have to download in 'boot mode' and gives 4 COM options. I've tried all 4 options (COM 4 and 2 don't work) but COM 1 and 3 just say 'waiting for the response of your receiver' but it's been waiting for aages with nothing coming up! I have a 2008 EUROVOX V black box if that helps. I don't know what to do somebody PLEASE HELP ME!!

Is it definitely a NULL MODEM lead that you have?
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Hi guys nd gals, firstly let me say thanks to you all for the excellent information. I have read through many times and finally plucked up the courage to upgrade...and it worked a treat, apart from 1 thing !!
Like a muppet I didn't save my CDF file but everything seemed OK and I don't mind re-sorting things but I've got every chnl I can think of except sly spots 1 & 3, others (2 & xtra) are OK. Any ideas?....i have a genuine black box 2008

Try a factory reset, unplug EV, plug back in and powerscan again. Failing that an up to date CDF for your area/provider may be required.
