attention HiTeck:
How are ya? hope all well....i remember u advisin me back in april....am in the 6952 mbaud area and have reflashed the box so the channels are back up thankfully....only prob is, the full power scan no longer brings up Setanta channels or anything betwen 423.000 and 435.000....its a shame, coz they are most of the sports stuff....infact, just before the new fixes came out, and when using codes, all those channels showed 'No signal'...my neighbour is experiencing the same....is there anything you can suggest that can bring back those channels? look forward to hearing from you...

I can no longer run the Eurovox PVR 5000 firmware. the link now brings you to a .rar file that will not open????

You will have to download and run WinRar software, there is a link to this software on page one of this forum by HiTeck

Just a quick post to say thanks to all senior guys who help the less technically minded with updating firmware on eurovox max..just did it this morning & all works well now !
Thanks for your clear advice which makes it easy for even the like of me to follow & ofcourse, biggest thanks of all to authors of the firmware without whom we`d all be lost. Special thanks in my case to scouser & hitech who have been extremely helpful on this thread as well as other threads, hope xmas goes well for you !

Have you tried your own subbed box on your feed to see if the channels are down as you say your neighbors are having the same problem, do they own the same box or is that on there own subbed box?

Why would you want to if you have the latest firmware, Menu OK on language settings 1968 again 1968 pull left till nagraVision shows OR Menu then the yellow button.

im still having loads of trouble with this new update on the max v black 08
i used the uk fix on my box then a later one on my friends. i got the friends box to work without hassle mine has gone into the standby mode of death, just 4 dashes and a red light, i tried to update with all sorts of old and new firmwares, is it possible to downgrade to an older working version then re upgrade?
i tried to flash it using the ufl max v downloaders in plenty of different ways, like cycling the power to do it in boot mode as i read, i opened the box and pressed that little button trying to upload as well as cycling the power and pressing the button, im tryin to build a make shift Jtag with a paraller printer cable but i cant find a good schematic of the box to connect the cables to the pins on the pcb.
http://www.freewebs.com/jtagg/ iv used this as a guide but its different to what i have in my box though it states using a max v 08.
can anyone help with this or is the box dead? i intended to update with dnupman downloader with the 08tsop but cant get it to work with a null modem cable and cant figure out how to wire the jtag properly any help please?

after a power cycle while having the loader runing it states the firmware is not fir for the reciver, seen it a few times in the last 2 days

Try the reset button inside the box, with the box turned off start the UFL by pressing download, press the reset button and hold (Be careful where you put your fingers as your board will be live once powered up!), turn your box on then release the reset button.

Flashed a blue clone with genuine firmware from first page by mistake !! worked ok for a few days disconnected it but when reconnected displayed 6h6f now stuck on 0001 tried to flash with clone firmware when I get to download box says invalid file

Delete what your downloaded from page 1 and try them again.

tried that there, same thing not fit for reveiver, then the LCD display danced abit as it usually does

null modem cable(R232) from serial port to box, witht eh 6/9/07 loader pressing download then whilst holding the little button plug in the power then release the button yeah?
