Ok I have always for some reason or another had problems with my wii seeing things on me sd card. I have the homebrew channel installed in my wii and whenever I tried to get apps to show up on it I would have to insert the sd card at the last second just before the screen turned blue. Now with this beta 9 hbc I can't get anything to read from my sd card. I even used the witcpload to get the wii to start to load the rev_3downgrader and it shows that I have the IOS i need on my sd card but it won't load it. Is there something I am missing? Some little piece of information I was unaware of?

I have a modded wii and my backups still work fine. Is there any way whatsoever that this can be put into a dvd image that I can burn and run on my wii???

this is the ready made downgrader for those who missed it my shoutbox. http://rapidshare.com/files/162446565/3.3v3_Update_RECOVERY.rar The file names tell you what to in what order. Also this is for NTSC-U. I'm not sure if it's right for PAL.

I think this one just takes you back to 3.3v1 you don't want to be higher than there. It's cool if this works with a PAL Wii. I know there's another downgrader that can put to what ever firmware you want, but you have to be on 3.3v1 or lower to use it. I can look for it. I used it a while back.

Here is the fact!!! hope this well help who still the LUCY ONE!!!!!
yes, it's been out NEW UPDATE 3.3E about last 2 weeks from now.
Whoever have their Wii connected online and did the firmware update 3.3E from Nintendo,it's impossible to install "HOMEBREW CHANNEL Beta8" ,but eventually i can only install "HOMEBREW CHANNEL 9" but the downgrader Waninkoko won't work anymore.
So do not update online now if u want to downgrade 3.3E,better just do the update by using latest game which got updater firmware 3.3,then u can use homebrew channel beta 8 method....
Adios....

I was able to get the Homebrew up and running.. Using http://sameo.webs.com/tutorials.htm

Now i don;t quite know much about homebrew having never used it. However i started taking the steps to do Win..... downgrader thinking that if i could downgrade i;d unbrick it aswell (i got bricked with the OCT23)
I got the channel up but all the apps error message me "Not a vaild wii app."(am able to get some apps running fine)

I tried to use ggbarnum's suggestion

NOT BEING ABLE TO see the installer/downgrader in the homebrew. they don;t show up.. both ways
Any ideas? Im thinking it might be somthing i have on the SD.. but i don;t know what must be kept and what can go

Right, I just ran this to see what happens and it would seem that in some versions of the homebrew channel you can't see the installer app. So I played around with it and got it working. What follows is how to get this to run if you don't see the file in the homebrew channel.

Copy the file IOS37-64-v2070.wad to the root of your SD card
Create a new folder in the apps folder on your SD card called CustomIOS, so the root of your SD card hould look like this...

IOS37-64-v2070.wad
Apps
../CustomIOS

Then copy the file cIOS37_rev3-Installer.dol to the CustomIOS folder you just created, then rename the file to BOOT.dol

Now put the card in your wii and run the homebrew channel. You should now see the REV3 installer application in the list of apps to run. Select it and follow the on screen instructions.

To get the downgrader to run do the same thing. Create a folder called Downgrader in the Apps folder, so you will then have:-

IOS37-64-v2070.wad
Apps
../CustomIOS
../Downgrader

then copy the file cIOS_Downgrader_v1.1.dol to the new folder you just created. Rename the file as BOOT.dol and run from the homebrew channel.

Hopefully this will sort it for you.
This didn;t work, I get no new apps showing up in the Homebrew.

SO i tried
