Hopefully all newbies read this post. I doubt it since the guide isn't being read.
The Magic Memory Stick steps are the same no matter what type of firmware you have Official/1.50/CFW.
The Pandora Battery steps are different.
That is why I have it in 3 parts. A guide to create the Pandora Battery using a 1.50 firmware PSP. A guide to create the Pandora Battery using custom firmware PSP. A guide for those that have an Official firmware PSP.
So whatever type of firmware you have read the corresponding part of the Pandora Guide.
If you have 1.50 firmware then read the part for 1.50 firmware.
If you are using a PSP that already has custom firmware on it to create the Pandora battery then use that section.
If your PSP has Official firmware then read the Official firmware section of the Pandora Guide.

I apologize before asking this question. I have read the guide multiple times. It is great step by step guide. I have made the magic stick. I have follow the section for customized firmware (I made one previous and loaded it using my Pandora's Battery). After all is said and done I am now trying Hellcat's Pandora Installer. It it said Error While Initializing: 0x8ca10002. Says Hang on get coffee takes a while etc. It's only been about 5 minutes. Is it suppose to take this long also is this the next step? I have the customized software but am not sure how to get Pandora on there or if I am suppose to? Mainly trying to backup games and play them. I am 100% SORRY for this question I'm positive it gets asked alot.
Where am I go to from here?
*Edit
I seem to have gotten no where. I apologize for my slowness. I have 3.71 M33-2 Running currently. I can hold down right trigger and go into a menu and change config. so I can run ISO's? Is that how this works I'm still looking for an answer if anyone can point me in a good direction.

hi i have used this guide before to get custom firmware but i recently semi bricked my psp and so i did everything as instructed, but when i go to get to the pandora menu, i just get a black screen. i noticed in the picture for creating the magicgate memory stick that apart from having the files you add in, the person had a kd folder, and a registry folder, plus the msipl.bin. i do not have that and in was wondering idf that could be the problem and if there was anything else i could do to fix it.

I recently bricked mine earlier Nand issues with Formatting Flash1. Theres a nice handy tool for that! Unbricked quickly. I would recommend you rebuild your stick. Make sure you follow the instructions and copy the files over later which should give you what you are missing I believe. Also:

Everything works great :) awesome guide thank you so much. Select button rules lol.

someone, please reply. i have a fat PSP with custom firmware 3.91 on it. my friend brought new PSP SLIM with official firmware 4.01, so now, can i use my FAT PSP battery as Pandora Battery for the PSP SLIM? if not, then if i convert it to a Pandora Battery doing the soft mod process, then will i be able to make my battery(FAT PSP one) normal again? also, how do i know that my FAT PSP battery is a pandora battery and my mem. stick is a magic mem. stick.
please respond ASAP guys, as he(my friend) cannot wait to play games on his new PSP.
Thank u in advance.

Yes a FAT pandora Battery will work in a SLIM PSP.
As to your other questions read the guide for those answers.

what do u mean? the reversing process itself dumps the original EEPROM (which is back up originally while creating the pandora battery), and makes it normal (from pandora battery-->normal battery), doesn't it?

It worked for me just fine. Just check to make sure its not a fake first.
Make sure it is real by:
- Sticking the stick in the psp
- Going to Videos (don't press X, just go to it)
- Press Triangle
- Go to Infomation
- At Supported, it should say MagicGate, if it doesn't then it is fake

EDIT - Nevermind I fixed it my problem, but I do have a question.
Ok, so I installed 3.71 M33 after putting in the Pandora and Magic Stick. Do I now put in the original battery, but leave in the magic stick to put in add-ons and updates?

Yes after it has finished installing the files you can then turn off the PSP and replace the Battery with the normal one.
Then just follow the tutorial for the add-ons and updates.

Read the guide and follow it. I am almost positive "hang on this will take some time grab a coffee" is part of the HellCat homebrew. The easy installer installs HellCat. No in the guide does it tell you to launch it.
Follow the guide using the OS Pandora Battery tool like the guide says.
