@grythe
Watch the language - post edited.
Watch the back to back posting - just edit your previous post instead.
If you did read the troubleshooting part you would have seen this:
There are new motherboard's out their (on SLIM PSP's) that can not be flashed at this time (including using Pandora & MMS) those PSP syatems have 4.00+ out of the box (for more info go HERE).

You might have the new motherboard which can't be be flashed yet. Check if your box in which your PSP came has the letter G on it, if yes, there is very high probability that its the unflashable one.

Is my second hand PSP slim 2001 definately moddable or not? Serial # under the battery begins with HU2 and has a firmware of 4.01. I'm using a 2GB sony MS, and also have a homemade jigkick battery [official sony] but it looks to be dead/flat and doesn't seem to charge when inserted, is it supposed to?

Hi all, first time poster.
I just wanted to say that when I started on the quest to mod my PSP, I was a complete n00b to the whole process.
Thanks to larrylje's awesome guides, I was able to mod my PSP first time, no problems.
All the info really is there folks.
Take your time and read everything before starting, and you'll have a much easier time with the whole process.
Thanks very much larrylje, awesome work.

Can a Pandora Jigkick battery that has the trace 19 cut be simply re-soldered to a normal battery??
Is it possible to charge a Pandora Jigkick battery with a un-modded OFW 4.01 PSP-2001 by connecting in serial or parallel to a stock battery??
