As of now, there will be no fix for the older Starviews up to the Superbox, the replay lite or the Eurovoxs to date,
Digivox XL currently no fix,
I wouldnt be holding out any hope on the Euro or SV's, best bet is to get a Kryptview or ITGATE if you know Linux, the SV4 is working, but if that gets bugged up again, it may or may not work, my money is the Kryptview for support and quality,
hi is there a link to digivox usb fix for ireland?
add also the digivox xl usb now fixed and working in irl.

can somebody give me an educated guess on how long these boxes will last if and when nagra 3 is rolled out. Will the roll out be over an extended period or will it happen over night.

to answer your question the boxes will last till they die
the real question you should have asked is how long will the support last for the boxes?
and there is not really a time line on when nag.3 will roll out
i was told 6 months ago it will happen in 6 months and now im been told it may be another 6 months and yes they will probally do it over a period of time
so if you are thinking of getting a box get 1 a.s.a.p so you get the most out of it while it lasts.

I made the assumption that there will be no support for these boxes when nagra 3 is rolled out, as it has not been cracked (as of yet). The question i am really trying to ask is, if I buy a box how long will I likely get out of it before it ends up lke my starview 2.

listen ihope i did not come across to smart or cheaky in my last reply but nobody can give you a straight answer on that, its a chance you take as always
if you are going to get 1 get it asap
me personaly! i got a kryptview to replace my box usb 2-3 months ago
and now they came out with a fix for the box usb, so now i have 2 working boxes in my house and both are doing fine at the moment
you will get more or less the same advice of anybody on this site
in the end its your money your risk.

when you scan in the chanells you scan them in on network,
then press the green button to get all your tp's in (transponders)
if you go back and read through 2-3 pages you will get all the details you need,

Ah it is the forum's fault so!!
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

ok i tried this...
pressed menu
installation
i have to choose automatic or manual search...
i choose network: nthell
channel search type: network
then i press green (start search)
it adds 7 TP (says they already exist), then starts to look for channels and finds 0
i go into user preferences and delete all channels, then i go into installation and do factory default setting
i turn it off...
rescan, same crack....
do i have manually enter some TP settings or frequencies or something?, am confident the right image is on....

do a factory reset in the main menu 1st as it seems you originally had the wrong firmware on the box or done something wrong

do a factory reset in the main menu 1st as it seems you originally had the wrong firmware on the box or done something wrong
then follow the instructions again
select auto scan
press green
when 3 providers/streams comes back choose dublin legacy and wait for scan to complete
then press exit until at a station.
make sure if you've NTL broadband that its plugged out and there is no splitters in use.
I agree the remotes/menus are completely shite but they were 1st working
