Sophocles,
The "Big" Guy was telling me about rebuilder CCE and although I hear it takes a tremdous amount of time I'd like to give it a try -
I just downloaded the Cinema Craft Encoder SP and I'm not sure if that's what you were refering to to or not -
Fill me in on exactly what you are working with -

That's it pete, You'll use sp to take the place of basic because the basic trial version sucks. Decrypter to rip and follow vurbal"s guide, have you had a chance to try intervideo dvdcopy2 yet?

It does take a lot of time but the results can be amazing on large type 9 films such as LOR III. You seem to have a pretty beefy which will be an asset for speed. One of the major reasons that it takes a fair amount of time is because CCE Basic uses a two pass encode system (SP can do more) which produces a better picture quality.

I went into close details on different software mrlovekim says he has. I tell him about different aspects of Nero. I explain decrypters, give him some setups that are easy. After some lengthy explanations, I am told the only thing he has is DVD Shrink and Decrypter. He apologizes and said he didn't know he didn't have it. Like you have a computer and going to attempt DVD recording and you don't know what software you have. I was getting to the point I was going to suggest crayons.
Then I come to this post, which I,m subscribed to, and I find him posting the same questions I went into detail explaining. I also told him, since he only had Shrink, that he should endeavor to learn Shrink. I told him where the guides were, and as you know, they are simple and if one goes step by step, they can't go wrong. We are here to help, but he won't even take the advice when given. One has to do some work, we can't go to their house and burn the discs for them.
If you don't believe me, check out the URL I listed. I saw other posts, and this guy has a habit of asking the same questions and not following instructions. URLs were even posted for his convenience. Sophocles and Big Orange even went into painful detail, as did you. Note the Junior Member status and the guy is still asking about Shrink. Maybe he is into CDs and Playstation. If he got the ranking asking DVD questions, there is a serious problem.

I'm not certain that mrlovekim meant any harm but he was using 4 or more members on 3 or more threads and that annoyed me. Pete has unlimited patience with some newbies and they are fortunate for it but it's a waste of his time and ours when they're all over the forum. We're all keepers of as Pete puts it "our little corner of the web," (Don't worry Pete I'll just get some therapy) and we need to help new members observe simple these ver simple forum rules.

Mrlovekim,
Apology accepted. In the future just be stright forward about what you need to know. Don't discuss CCE before you've learned Shrink. We all had to learn. Just make a sincere effort and follow sound advice. We can help you, but we can't do all the work for you. Hope we have been of assistance. As long as you are honest and make an honest effort, you will receive needed assistance. But, we don't like being yanked around. Takes too much time to type and I'm getting slower every day.

I will do that and I have printed out alot of what you guys linked me too and also while learning from you guys I have tried a little in helping others in the DVD newbie forum.
My Plextor has broken and I am having it replaced soon and I just had this installed on Saturday...LOL

Mrlovkim, i would like to know, for my own personal gratification if you followed my instructions regarding recode and anydvd and if so, what happened. If you didn't, that's fine there are others who will be able to use it, I would just like to know, one way or the other.

On the anydvd and recode, I went and regestered everything seperetely and it still didn't work after doing that, so I gave up and went back to decrypter and shrink and that was working till my burner went bad, I really tried all you told me, I looked at all the boxes to see if they were clicked or unclicked and they all were correct but in the end I just gave up, I spent two days on this and I just want to live again.....LOL
The biggest reason I got this dvd burner was to have a second burner for cdr's for I burn many of them and wanted to cut my time in half,but it being a DVD burner I wanted to be able to use that to my advantage as well.
Once I get the plextor replaced I might try again for I did print all of what was told to me and the links and other info I found on this board but right now even if my dvd burner was working I would not try again for now because I think I have had enough of things going wrong for me at this time and I just want to burn cd's for now and copy some movies for my brother who is not the richest guy so I buy movies and copy mine for him until he can have the extra money himself to buy them.
I think if I spent any more time on my dvd burner I would have jumped off my Dutch girlfriends terrace....LOL

sorry it didn't work, but it has to be on the operator end. Did you check to see if you had the dvd plug in? there HAS to be some little something you're either doing or not doing, this method has worked without fail for everyone i know that has tried it. Maybe when u get back to it we can go over step by step on what you're doing and solve it from there.

Will have burner replaced tomorrow but a few things that maybe will help, I tried to see if I had the dvd plugin and did the way you told me and had no success but I do see my mps plugins and others but no dvd plugin, I could not see if I had it which brings to this question, I got Nero with this computer when I bought it and I upgraded from 5.5 to 6 and kept up with the new downloads(packages),now was the dvd plugin included in this or was this something I had to buy seperate?or I could't burn at all without it, if so I must have because I was able to burn three movies using shrink and decrypter.
You don't really have to answer, I know I am a lost cause and once I get the burner replaced I will play around with all of this and go through what you have said in past replies again .

You must have the dvd plug-in for the program to work, go to the ultra 6 homepage and get it, it's free for the ultra 6 purchasers. It should be in updates or you can go to the plugin page that lists all of them. signing off, was just leaving when your message came up.

Mrlovkim, if you don't have the dvd plug in then when you open and try touse Nero express you will get a very large screen that tells you that you need the plug in. IF you do not get that screen, then you have it.
I am just getting back to the forum after a long period of reformatting my HD 3 times due to spyware. I hate that s..t. Got all my programs reinstalled and will be looking in on a regular basis as regular.

Love Recode2 and it works fine for me, although I have Intervideo DVDCopy2 and like it also along with Instant Copy.
Thanks to bigorange for telling me about unselecting SAFE MODE in AnyDvd. Instant Copy 8 or DVDCopy2 would not work with it checked. Just kept telling me that my movie was copy protected even though I was running ANYDVD and DVD43.

Yep did what bigorange said and it says dvd plugin detected, so I am ok on that, tomorrow after I have the burner replaced I will experiment with anydvd and Nero recoder again,so if I don't reply here tomorrow it might be because I jumped from from my fourth floor terrace.....LOL
But to make sure all understand the decrypter and shrink process has worked and burned a couple of movies on a rewritable DVD.
Just cross your fingers for me that everything is still working tomorrow after replacement....LOL
