You have some balls. This thing fried my 360. I know of 4 other people who had the same thing happen. There are several other cooling options out there. You can buy the fan stand or the whisper Fan. Both of these fans are 20 bucks. The same price as the intercooler. Why take a risk. I would laugh if you wake up tomorrow and the internals on your 360 are burned up, because of your stupidity. If you want to use it fine, just don't go around telling people it is safe when it isn't

so what's the best option out there to cool the 360... cuz I think I'm gonna rip open mine apart a 2nd time, only this time not to hack it, but to put AS5 on the GPU and CPU... and whatever else I need to do. Before doing so, I wanna know what I should grab to help cool this thing.
I have dozens of 80mm and 60mm fans at my house, as well as a few 120mm fans... all for computer work I do... but not sure what's best for the 360. I too have the Nyko and scared to keep using it... but my system gets ultra hot, so that's why it's still on there.

A USB EXTENDER will be needed to use...the laptop coolers comes with usb connector but does not waste your one usb spot on your xbox360...the usb extenders needed since the laptop coolers usb cannot fit by itself..look here..
Why the Laptops cooler cannot fit on its own..see here the coneectors on the side not the top of it..so usb extender is needed..SORRY blurry picture i got a cheap camera..
If you get this it does not take up your only usb has one on the connect reason why it does not fit on the xbox360 alone..

yeah i like the idea...
how does the laptop cooler work? is it just a stand and has fans on the bottom? curious what the laptop stand actually looks like from the bottom (or even from top view)... i can only see its sides from your pix. i do appreciate it, though!! :D

Yeah the design of the laptop cooler matches the xbox360 pretty good...it works by pulling the hot air from the xbox360 away from it through the fans and it has a aluminium top that gets chilly and cools the botom of the xbox360(laptop) its also all by usb...i leave mine on all the time so the boxs is always chilly...and the boxs never gets hot like it used to without it..so it works great!! here are some pictures of it by itself..

The side of it which has option of high or low..i keep mine on high all time..and also has a blue neon light to tell you its on..looks cool at night..lol
the top of the laptop cooler..made of aluminium..
the bottom...the fans are covered in order to shot the hot air away from the boxs on the sides...as you can see the vents..the aluminum on top is what keeps the xbox360 cool and the fans draning the heat away helps..
and lastly im not 100% it works this way but thats what the boxs says lol and i can asure you that this does work and is not a waste of money..makes me worry free of over heating anything in my xbox360..anymore questin feel free to ask..

With the 360 on its belly the way you have it (not upright standing)
....doesn't the 360 exhaust its hot air through the back? And doesn't it intake cool air from the right side?
This cooler seems to PULL hot air from its top (bottom of 360), and exhaust along all sides... but if it exhausts the hot air along all sides of the laptop cooler, then wouldn't that hot air get pulled back into the 360 from the right side of the 360's intake (opposite side of hard drive)??
Let me know if what I'm saying doesn't make sense... if I have time @ work I'll try to draw a pic... I'm just worried of recycling hot air...

hey man i've been using the antec cooler!! :)
but... not sure if it's better to point the thing back or front... i have exhaust going out in the front of the 360 and the left side... cuz where i have the 360, there's a wall behind the 360...
wish there was temp monitors so that i can figure out the best orientation.
