you normally get 30 days to decide if its worth keeping or not,sadly the 360 is so messed up it can go any time in 5 to 50 days,and then after that theres no telling when it will break down.
I keep telling people the new revision is coming a near complete redesign save your money for it don't bun money on a model 1 360!
the new model may not be hackable at first, though... i'm honestly afraid of that, so i picked up my 2nd xbox 360 about a week or two ago... both my 360s are now modded...
i'd rather wait til the new one comes out, and then i can read up on ppl's experience, and wait for a new hack technique... until then, i'm just gonna sit and wait, and use my current systems.
my god man thats 600+ 0-o screw that I'd rather have a stable and better built model 2 screw the mod angle that will be fixed in time,of coarse if you don't have any "real" games well..then.... your screwed :P
I don't have decent net anymore..in fact I am paying 130 a month for crappy Sat net thats abotu the same as basic DSL because there only dailup out here,so downlaoding stuff is not a option,I have found over the year since I been here that Ebay is godly 2-4 month old games for 20-39 beats 50 a pop LOL
I really wish someone would make a Game shark/Code breaker for the 360....I hate un fun games and without the ability to "tweak" im I lose interest fast ><
I am working on a flip top model 1 PS2 light mod,I have a spare Xbox I will be "playing" with next.

Well there is no reason to even have these on the shelves anymore because they fixed the overheating problems!

from all the numbers I have seen its almost a 10-30% return rate for the 360(MS "claims" 3-5%) lets face it almost everyone knows someone that has had issues with theres I know at least 4 people that have issues and 3 of them RMA'd theirs,add to it I know at least 6 close friends online that have had issues with theirs.
Its gotten to the point where MS had to extend the warranty and a UK group is starting a class action against MS,sure some people dont have any trouble with their 360 but the problem is SOME PEOPLE DO.
I am not going to buy a 300$+ system and have it break down and be charged 50$ to fix it,aint doing that I will wait for the new revivson that has a new mobo/cpu and better heat dispensation and might have HDMI/120GB HDD.
the Model 1 360 is just made poorly if you have money to kill go for it,but I'd rather wait till they get done beta testing it.
I doubt MS numbers,a doubling of the 3-5 to 6-10 is a bit more reasonable,then you stop and think about "fixed console" returns its pads it to 15%,at one time it seemed like 30% I guess I cling to the higher numbers *L*.
The 360 has issues just be aware of them....and I am full of hot air *farts* be aware of that to :P

well the ps3 also comes with Blu-ray... there's a HUGE difference there... that makes up for a good portion of the higher price tag.

well BR is not that great go gameing you might have to swap discs but its seek times are meek,so that will effect some thigns kinda *L*
Sony could have saved allot of face and not released the low end PS3 and sold the High end for 450,plus in acouple years the 360 is getting Hdvd built in if it were not for that fact MS encrypted the 360 HD and forced it to were only they can upgrade it the 360 would be ahell of allot more inventive than the ps3,the more I stop and look into things the more they become the same 0_o

I think mine needs an interheater, lol.
The only way to make mine work is by leaving a towel on it, perhaps a handy-dandy heating device from Nyko would help. I figure they've already made a device which burns systems on accident, why not make one that will cause heat and or fire more blatantly?
lol; and I'm serious about my towel. I get up every twenty minutes just to make sure it isn't hot and it never gets there, it barely gets warm after super long sittings. I don't feel comfortable without checking it, I don't currently have the money to get a new core system, and there's nothing else that makes it function for more than a few minutes. Good times.

have you tried running it on tis sides and flat??
I wonder how fcked up it is,I had a PS2 that was just a bit off,it would play 30 games ok,there was more slowdown than normal but it would not save ZOE 1 at all I fianly gave up and sold it with a 30day warrenty on it,witch is over :3 now.

hey where can i check out the new 360 im about to buy one and i looked at some forums lol also the same thing happend to my cousin but somthing horrible happend heres the story of DOOm about the nyko bs
1 day a happy little guyy bhought a nyko fan coller to cool his 360 he hooked up 9 diffrent things to a power strip then BOOM xbox 360 EXPLODES in a great ball of fire he gets a refund kinda funny though burned a hole in his couch but not really nykos fualt XD

1st, that's a funny story. 2nd, it helps to use PERIODS to separate your sentences. 3rd, and lastly, I HIGHLY doubt the nyko fan cooler can cause anything to blow up. I believe it's straight wiring from plug to plug, and unless a wire caught on fire, there should be no risk of fire otherwise.

I think I won a 3 red light 360 premium off ebay for 50 0_o
but if you can wait for the new 360 that would be the best choice,unless you can get a model 1 for under WORKING 100 o-o.

lol; I'm considering purchasing a broken 1st gen unit, but I'd need to know that I can fix it first. Besides, that would be lucrative cash as a sidehobby. Buy broken units for $50-100, then sell them for $150-200. It would be a great way to keep my boredom at bay, and make some dough.

I have sold 2 PS2s so far at 150 a pop ( minus 25 for shipping),but it was almost 100 in parts on top of the 60 for the broken units.
the PS2 model 1 has a 60$ lens the 360,Xbox and PS2 slim line have 30$ parts.
