@afreak.
how close are they to eachother? try each of them on the 15th or 16th in order of most popular to least, and see who has the shorter line. its what im doing. if the first place you try has less than 15-35 people, depending on your population size, then stay there. or continure to check other places. its all chance really, and all how long you care to wait.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Well, I plan on going to Auburn(the Wal-Mart there is doing a Midnight Launch) so I'll get to the store around 7 o'clock. And wait until I can get one, then If I don't get one there, I plan to drive to Best Buy(which isn't doing a midnight launch) and waiting at that or CC until 8 am.

That sounds like a good idea... Only I would show up to walmart at about 5PM or 6PM... I think 7 might be to late... It is better to be safe than sorry! I preordered mine from ToysRus! Yaya =)

I feel you Anubis I for one will not buy nothin off Ebay at a crazy price I rather buy it at Eb and they be taxin so they would get my money first before ebay. I can see the point ,I can understand if the people who sold them really want a Ps3 , I for one dont like when other Fanboys camp out to buy a console just to sell them to a person that really wants a Ps3 bad . Say like a person that is anti Sony or anti Ninten or anti-Micro. now that is sad those are the people I dont like but if you are in it to get a few and make money so you can buy yourself one so it pays for its self do your thang. I thank this could haunt them in the long run if Ebay is flooded with Ps3 instead of a few and the stores ships even more in December ,than it might come back to bite them in the a**

The reason I wrote that is because alot of people I was in with at Wal-Mart for the launch of 360 put them lay way. If they wouldn't of had lay way people further back in line would've been able to get one including myself. So if your at a Wal-Mart it would be worth it to stay in line and wait because some people will get turned away.

Toysrus has been doing Preorders for a week now. You are garented to get one within two weeks of launch if they sell out on day 1.

Sadly, I'm doing what most of you don't like. I'm buying my first one on launch to sell it. Why? Because I'm a poor college student, so I hope to make enough to save up for an HDTV with the profits(b/c what's the use of a PS3 w/o a shiny new HDTV to go with it?), and then rebuy a PS3 later on down the road(only like a year on down the road).

At first I was totally against people selling PS3s on ebay. I've come to see the light now. I'm a hardcore Playstation gamer, so I need to have a PS3. I'm going to try and buy 2 PS3s (with the help of a friend or brother), then keep one for myself and sell the other on ebay. That way it'll basically pay for itself (hopefully). Plus maybe I'll have a little extra to help with college. Of course if I can only get one, I'm keeping it for myself.

Yep, that is my exact reason for selling the first one. If I didn't have to worry about money, I'd keep the first one no problem, but I wish I could get two.

well at least all you guys are not 360 fanboys tryin to just buy one and sell to ps3's fans at a high price lol that is stupid now I can see all of your views you want to make money for a HDTV then buy a ps3 or all of you want one down the road that not bad at all . I was talk about people who hate Sony and do to the poor fans just because of fanboyism I've read alot of people are like that on other forums lol that is sadd man !

yeah I dont think people will make alot on ebay do to the high out put of consoles bein made . thats why I knew not to pre-order I can get one easily only Eb didnt get alot of Wii's everyone else is gettin plenty but lol Afreak the only way I see you doin damage is burnin down a Nintendo Factory that would hit em were it hurts ! lol I dont stand by this though I wouldnt do em like that

Well, I am selling my first PS3 if I can actually get one, so do you think I should get a game with it and sell it along with the console, or just the console itself? Do you think it would help sales?
