Yes It's true! You just need swap Magic but.... Doc Tape it's usefull!
Please someone! i use swap magic 3.8 and i can play all back up,exept Scarface why? and what can i do ? when i try to play nothing hapen ;o(
help each other is very important.

HAHAHAHAAHAHA
Man when i got suspended for a month awhile ago i man'd up and didnt even attempt to log on before then. Atleast be sneaky about it next time instead of announcing your triumphent return man.....thats like a moving target for the mods ;)

Scarface doesnt work for a lot of people. You can help alieve this by using quality media and burning correctly as described in this thread 100000 times.

Hey guys i just bought swap magic last week and downloaded a game today that has been patched for swap magic but how the hell do i burn the iso file? lol

DVD Decrypter, if you need more info then read the thead tht is why it is here, not to keep answering the same questions, there are 123 pages of info at your disposal, USE IT

Scarface and all new release did right after november 2006 do not work for make a back up! because the original disk (Scarface) boot twice . Usually the disk boot only one.
Very brilliant and simple idea for stop us to make a future back up!
How to boot Twice with swap magic 3.8 when the suport is still running?
The quality of media do nothing in this situation!
But Yes (svtstang) Taiyo Yuden Premium is the best support.

But why some peoples use alcool 120% instead of DVD Decrypter? I use both but i never find a difference between them ;o( Because alcool do a new release every 2 week,probably for fix the sector on the game for a better back up or something else?

Hi Mastero
you ask aften and i answered you like i can ;o(
Use DVD Decrypter it's free! search engine type(DVD Decrypter)
download it
right after you execute!
now open it.
put your personal game into your computer.
on DVD Decrypter you'll see file in order: view mode tools help
push on mode and scroll on iso and check mark read.
on please select file click on the file and create a file,this is the place where will be your file after finish to be writing.
and now click on the hardrive image and now it's over for the first step!
for second step after is finished
remove your game replace with a virgin dvd
push on mode and scroll on iso and check mark write.
on please select file click on the file and click on the file,this is the place where is your file you done.
and now click on the disk image and it's start writing.
when it's done remove it and put right after you boot with swp magic.
ps: choose default on swap magic
sorry for my low level english but peoples here eventhough they speak perfectly english they do not want to repeat.
but some peoples are really newby with computer and some tutorial it's complicate.
so! i do the best tht i can ;o)

Don't spend your time try to backup new relase game came right after november 15 it's impossible with their new system protection,eventhough you use swap magic 3.8 coder.

I need an advice. I've burned some games with DVD-decrypter and Alcohol 120%, but some games doesn't burned properly, as in screen turns black after the ps2 logo. Is there any other software I should try besides those two programs?

1. I think it is chipped. I bought it modded.
2. They are DVD games, most of them are the one with 4.something gig size ISO file, and yes, I used the slowest speed.

yeah, most of the smaller ISO ones (around 1.5 gig) starts fine. Haven't really tried all the way through. But the ones that doesn't work, just show the ps2 logo and goes black.

dont know about the chip, maybe the games are to big for the chip, i use SM Coder and all games up to 4.58gb have worked, what kind of chip is it??

I am not sure what chip it is. I bought it already modded. The games that I can't burn successfully includes valkyrie profile 2, radiata stories and kingdom hearts 2.

Hey Guys, Ok last night i download Fifa 07 from a newsgroup and it says on the title Patched for Swap Magic, So i downloaded it and was given an ISO so i went into DVD Decrypter set it to write then set the speed to 2 then selected the Fifa 07 iso then inserted a blank dvd then hit BURN. Woke up in the morning and booted up swap magic, waited for it loading, took the disk out with the slide tool then put in Fifa 07 used the slide tool again to lock it then went to special then PAL version then hit the X button, and it goes to a black screen and does nothing:(
Please someone help:(

why are you selecting PAL? is your system PAL, try burning at 4x
