dunno, just saying a game doesnt work isnt giving us much to work with...let me guess you are using memorex?? BTW 50 cent is DVD9, i assume you ripped it? Or are you using cheap DVD9 media? Provide a media id, rated disk speed, something.....only logical place to start from is your media.

im using pengo max speed is x8, i downloaded the torrent file and burned it at x4, using dvd decryptor. Wats DVD9 & DVD5, is the media im using a bad media and could that cause it to jump like that. can modchip be outdated and have that effect as well???

Seeing as i never even heard of pengo max.....i pretty much gurantee it is total garbage. Only let verbatim and taiyo yuden near your ps2 if you give a damn about it and actually want games to play. I highly doubt your chip is the problem also. DVD5 = single layer DVD9 = dual layer....you cant put a DVD9 game (50 cent) onto a DVD5 and logically think it will work, cause it wont.
Buy some better media and make another burn. If you live in the states, supermediastore.com is the most reliable and cheapest source for quality media.

Brand/ Last Known Manufacturer/ Previous Manufactuers
HP/ CMC/ Ricoh, Mitsubishi, Fujifilm
Taken from http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
CMC = Bad
So yes they may work perfectly well, but since they are 4th grade media...
Quote: Pathetic garbage media, landfill material, about 0-50% success rate. These discs are pretty much only suited for preventing drink cup rings from forming on a table. Most of the time, these are ready-made coasters. If you can actually get a burner to acknowledge the disc, do not expect much. And if the burn actually succeeds, do not be surprised if a DVD-ROM or player chokes on the disc (read/play errors). Cheap prices, cheap junk quality.
Or at best 3rd grade media
Quote: Quality can be very questionable, about 50-80% success rate. These are discs best suited for small burns (under 2GB of data). Be prepared for failed burns. Also be prepared for various DVD-ROMs and players to not see the disc or freeze up because the player cannot read it very well (not the same as a bad burn). Many of these are known for sham marketing ("archival grade" and whatnot) and can actually cost more than 1ST or 2ND CLASS media.
Why not buy Taiyo for about the same price and not worry about it?? Glad they work but in a year or so if you experience problems, you will know why.

Your question was awsered b4 me no you can't download Swap disc they don't work at all...your best bet is to buy them here's a place you can get some www.modchipstore.com but if your money is better just get a chip installed..I know someone who can install less than $100 and he supplies the chips to..

I use DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 I put in my Original dvd
then I decrypt it {TO ISO} On my Hdd. Then I put in a tdk dvd -r disk
then burn it at 4x Burn goes GOOD says COMPLETE. but when I try to swap it with swap magic I keep getting that pinlish screen {Please insert a playstion or playstion 2 format disk! this is what DVD Decrypter reads about my disk on the right side {AFTER A BURN}.

Hey guys,
Im new to this forum but i have a wierd problem with my ps2. I have a v4 ps2 with a modchip, im not sure which one it is, but the problem is that some games run on it and some dont. Im talking about original disks. For example Guitar Hero 1&2 dont work on it, Shadow of the colossus doesnt work on it but it still runs games like God of war and lots of backups that i have. I also tried making backups of those games but even they dont work. The red screen comes up saying insert an original disk or soemthing. Any ideas?

nope, did you read the faq page? with EA games you need to patch them with the Neo EA patcher.. find a link on the guides or whatever post on the forum.. good luck
Just so you don't have to ask, yes, I'm using Taiyo Yuden's :P
