no slower isnt better, just as fast isnt better. The optimal speed is 1/2 the disk rated speed. If you use 16x disks and your burner only supports 4x, use that.

I personally burn 4x media at 4x, but 2x should be fine also....im just too impatient to burn a 4 gig iso at 2x.

then go for 2x, if you notice any problems that can be directly traced to the burn rather then the ps2, bump it up to 4x. I used to use Taiyo 4x DVD-R burned at 4x, never made a coaster.

i got the image already brought down to DVD5, burned it, played it.... but then at the part where you poke out the statues eye, it frezes.... don't know what it could be....
prolly my media, using Sony...... i know, i know, use toiyo... but i ran out, this is all i had and it has workd for me before.... so i don't think it's that....
Burned @ 4x, which usually works too.... i'll try another burn but @2 but i don't think that's it

Did you use my tut?? I think there is a .pss that plays after the part you described, perhaps you mistakingly dummied it or it somehow became corrupt? Post your method in the tut i made http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/482502 and we will see what we can do :)

Second you say you know about computers but you can't follow 2 steps and the fact that the burner is doing the READ and WRITE? Those steps assume you have a dvd/cd burner since you are asking how to burn game in the first place.
I will still help you out....
1. Take the ps2 game put it in the dvd rom or dvd burner, your choice.
2. open the dvd decryptor program then go to to tool bar and hit MODE>ISO>READ. Then choose the correct dvd drive that the game is in as the "source". Also choose where you want the files to be stored on the pc hdd. THEN CLICK DECRYPT , or the huge graphical picture at the bottom of the program which makes it run. The game is now copying to your HDD. Take the game out when finished (it might take a while).
3. Go to the same tab in dvd decryptor and choose MODE>ISO>WRITE. This will then let you look for the files you just created in step 2. Select the file that you just created. (There is only 2 files creadted so pick the smaller one, I forget what its called. If it dosen't work pick the other file instead.) Then click WRITE, make sure there is blank DVD or CD in the drive depending on if its a cd or dvd game.
The game is now burning.... when done Take the game out!

The best apps for Dvd's imo is CloneDVD. If you have .avi's, .divx, or .xvid, Nero (I use Nero express, dvd data disk option) is awesome. If you want to backup a movie, use DVD Decrypter to rip it and use CloneDVD to burn it, cant go wrong.
