I updated my dvd fab, and it worked fine on my dell 1720 laptop after. Never could get it to work on pc useing rip it 4 me. Just wanted to give an update.
A note to all, when you go online and post question, FOLLOW UP and let the board know how things turned out. Nothing worse then ppl who come in ask a question, then never return.
Thanks all for the help.

Exactly. Thanks for letting us know. The biggest thing with this title is making sure that your ripper is up-to-date. Both major ones (DvdFab and Anydvd) updated to tackle this one just fine.

This thread is still alive I see. It seems like the Seniors and Addicts have it pretty well summed up. Update one (or both) of the updated rippers and any problems should dissipate. It is good to see more people getting it backed up though.
Some assembly required.

I have a quick question.
I just downloaded dvd fab and ripped it no problem.
Now my question is can I now burn it to a dvd 9 and not shrink it? Or do I have to do something before I burn it?
sorry for the dumb question, I just thought if I have dvd 9's there is no reason to shrink.

I also couldn't backup The Dark Knight onto my hard drive with DVD Shrink 3.2. After I clicked open disc, there was a pop up that said "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Railed to read file "D:/" Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Any ideas as to what I should do?

I use XP and wanted to rip TDK to my HD as well.
I was having similar problems with DVD Dycrypter! It would show 'Parsing IFO file' , just freeze after a few seconds and so I had to end up killing it. Just tried AnyDvd for the first time and worked like a charm! A really good and clean rip. No audio/video issues.
Thankyou very much for all the help from this thread!!!!!

Dark Knight? Not a problem =)
Rip to hard disk with Any DVD
(Version 9.4.9.0 works just fine with Vista 64 bit)
Shrink with DVD Shrink 3.2
(Works just fine with Vista 64 bit but will not work in conjunction with Nero any more)
Burn with Nero 9
(Nero 9 works fine with Vista 64 bit)
(must locate DVD files and burn manually)
