we'll just have to wait and see how the ps3 fairs,if it does the same as the ps2 in terms of supply and quality at launch it will do the same as the 360

according to this sony is releasing with 3 million worldwide, not the 2 million that they initially said. this would also account for more per region giving sony another step up on microsoft's launch.
"First, Sony told EB and GameStop that they would be supplying 3 million consoles at launch worldwide, 1 million more than they claimed at E3. They also broke it down by region: an even cool million for each Japan, NTSC and PAL. Please note that Sony informed retailers that these were launch day figures.
Second, Sony instructed them to not take pre-orders until "after September". It may seem a bit odd on the surface, but why September? Well, at the end of September, September 22-24 to be specific, an event occurs called the Tokyo Game Show."

@Heraldson: LOL your not listen to what i said or you just clueless.We are talking about standard system not Hacked system dont change up.360 does now have backwards compatibility right now.So if Microsoft has to make a patch they rushed there system out the gate and also they had no anttenion of making it backwards compat.Until some of you Microsoft Fan boys start cryin...LOL (Quote)
you really are a dabster mate,i was referencing,not making a statement,so what!!! about being hacked or standard....xbox 360 always had intentions of backward compatability,it was up to the consumer if they wanted to utilise it,being the "next gen console"

you know, what is someone with the 360 w/o internet gunna do? with all the lack of emu's for back compat and the lack of updating which may make the system jsut as unstable as the launch. they must get shafted.(Quote)
you don't need the internet :) to apply the patch(s),you get shafted yes...Microsoft charge for postage,they will send an updated disc to you,upon request,but hey whats $2.00 AUD,when a person doesn't buy these game magazines worth $4-$24?

well at the moment,i'm having some time out,i am a motor mechanic by trade,retired truck driver,retired farmhand,active hobby farmer,at the moment while i'm having time out,i do up written off cars,panel beating ,spraying,then making some quick bills off them,the list goes on *S*

Gotcha. now changing gears i dont get how ps3 fans are happy with paying what they are for the console that has had numerous things stripped.
1.lower end model does not have memory car slots,wifi built in,no hdmi
2.both models are missing 2 usb ports
3.console took steroids and now is bigger and thicker
On top of this i know all Sony fans are completely fine with this and will somehow refer back to MS or something

first off, do you need all that? i dont have any of those memory cards at all, i would
miss the wifi but not too much since my tv hs my router next to it, and i have no hdtv with
1080p to care for hdmi. also, did u not notice the 360 had things stripped? most ppl who
got the core ended up getting an hdd anyways.
second, omg 2 usb ports! not having them saves sony 50 cents usd per console, and what
are u gunna hook to it? everything? ill use it for a keyboard, mouse, and flash drive, with 1
left for w/e.
and third, size doesnt matter really. its not like its a protable gaming system. its a home
entertainment console and computer, so i dont think ill drag it everywhere. plus its well
smaller than a pc case and your not complaing about their size and price for the same
power. it will be able to stand at the side of ur entertainment center all by it self efficiently
due to its shape.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

No the 360 didnt get stripped because we arent talking bout core and premium versions. Everything MS promised is in the premium unlike sony which had stuff stripped from even their $600 console, they just lied to try and make the 360 another dreamcast. Over hype their stuff and not deliver. Where the dual hdmi? i remember many sony fanboys using that as big big argument on why it would own the 360, and now you dont care? Where is the built in router with 3 ethernet ports?
the fact is sony keeps lieing about stuff yet after the fanboys get screwed they find a way to somehow justify sony's lies

@ rikjames : you say it was striped, but Sony never promised anything except the Cell processer.How you going to miss anything if you never had it.The low end model is not for a diehard gamer its for a little kid or someone who dont play that much.Far as the two USB ports i think people can live without that.Oh i just read your message i totaly didnt see it went i say LOL.its not to mock anyone its that sometime i here some people say some of the crazy things.
