Maybe its a game that cant be patched with the program,there are some that cant be fixed.What title is it?

Do you know if one can pass Devil May Cry 1 PAL to NTSC? I tested with the program, but it did not really go.

Hello everyone.
OK I have a PAL WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006 that is black and white (and almost centered) on my TV. When I used Codeseek's PAL2NTSC code, it finally had colors, but I can't see clearly the bottom edge of the display....
What should I do? Even Codeseek's Y-fix doesn't help.....

i just patched Fifa 2006 PAL (with y-fix offset at 48)and once i burned the dvd and put it in my PS2 all i could see was a 1cm strip on the far left side of the screen in that strip i could only see a little pic at the bottom looking like a hand.
any idea whats the problem?

Well, people did you try the 2nd method? That might work... So far i'm almost ready to test Shadow the Heghehog with the 1st method on my ps2. If that dosent work, then i'll try the 2nd one. For the love of god i hope it works...I've wanted to play this game so much...

When you patch the PAL ISO of a game with any of the fixes available, the closest you can get to centering the screen is a 48 y axis fix.This will inevitably lop off some of the bottom and top of the screen.You could try the in game options and adjust the screen there too....

I had the same problem with Sniper Elite,I ended up not patching the ISO but instead,I used the Swap MAgic special boot up and it worked.Unfortunatley there is no screen adjuster so a small part of the bottom of the screen can`t be seen.

Bummer,mind you some of the newer modchips have the ability to boot a PAL disc in NTSC.Have you tried burning the ISO without patching it and playing it as is?Sometimes the chip itself will convert the signal automatically..

The only problem I have with playing PAL games on my moddes ps2 is that I get only black and white screen, I don't have the a rolling screen or parts that don't fit on the screen. My question is how do I patch these games so that I do get colour when playing these games ,that means patch them to NTSC right???
Also can I patch any kind of PAL game or only some specific ones? Let's say for example "Harvest MOon a wonderful life", can I patch this one?

i need some help. i used the patcher with y fix on harry potter goblet of fire iso. then i burned the iso with both Nero and the dvddecrypter. i tried loading with my swap magic 2.0. and all i see is a black screen. now, do i need swap magic 3.0? a mod chip? or a new patchet?

How old is your mod chip? I had an old mod chip that fixed the vertical rolls but not the colour so had to get a PAL to NTSC TV adapter just to fix the colour problem...

My modchip is not so old. I just purchused my modded ps2 and everything is fine except playing PAL games. I guess I just need to get an tv adapter then. Thanks for your help.

No problem.You can patch your games with a PAL to NTSC fix,I posted a link in this thread a few days ago to the patch,before you buy the adapter you could try this method but the best way to play PAL games is wih the adapter...

I did patched the game from PAL to NTSC using the technique in the forum. the game is (Medal of Honor)PS2. when I boot the game I see 3 choices NTSC Y-fix, NTSC and PAL. When i click either one, it gets stuck in there. I tried it so many times but it didnt work. CAN someone tell me what is the problem.
So much to know.....I know one thing which is I dont know anything.......LOL

The PAL to NTSC fix is for playstation 2 games.I`m sure there is a patch for making region free DVD movies somewhere in the video section.
Does your DVD player have a multisystem option?

Ok. I own a copy of a PAL format Playstation 2 game. I tried to change it to NTSC with the conversion methods provided at the beginning of the topic, but when I go to load that on the PS2, it comes up with "Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc." Any ideas what the problem might be? I tried it multiple times.
