@Biggjake - Make sure you have the correct version of the gamesave man. If you have an NTSC or PAL box, make sure you have the right gamesave that corresponds...

everyone if you get an email from microsoft saying you have been suspended for 1 week for excessive modding... its a piece of crap.... for some reason since ive been playing with modders ive gotten like 7 messages like that saying that yet i can still play matchmaking and i can still play on xbox live... also the email they give u to complain about the suspension doesnt even work!
its true...... squirrels are taking over the world

when i go to save it to memory card....i get some sort of powersave mfc notice and it shuts down.....anyone know why?

okay, nevermind to all my threads. I've got it up and running now. huzzah. So what do the features of Evox do? like apps and games and junk like that? I've also heard of a dashboard called UnleashedX, how do I go about getting that?

@Deezack - It's damn near the same tutorial. That website is the site of a friend of mine, he's the one who got me into modding Xboxes and he's the reason I put this tutorial up...

MS Memory cards are usually a good choice. However, i've never had a problem with the one that came with my Action Replay....but i've heard of people having problems with these...

mines an interact...and a make your own action replay...i can get the save on it but the xbox doesnt regiter.....so if i get a MS one problem should be solved then?

ok I have read this entire thread so DONT FLAME me when I ask this question. I have a Xbox v1.6. If I try to either backup the hard drive or try to install UDE2, I get a green garbage on the screen and the light on the XBOX is orange. I know that you say this is normal. I am trying to backup the hard drive at the moment and it has been going on for 45 mins. Is this normal? Other people who had the same problem, how long does the backup and install take? This is a brand new Xbox and I think that their might be some security feature locking the XBOX up. BTW: the screen is frozen and nothing moving.
EDIT: I am using componet cables, does this matter?
EDIT2: Ok after 2 hours I give up. I am going to try a different softmod technique. Wierd because it doesn't even hurt my Xbox. It is like it is catching the mod and freezing the Xbox. Oh well. Worst case is I go buy a used Xbox.
EDIT3: Softmod Installer deluxe v1.01 works perfect and WAY better than itools. None of this green garbage screen freezing crap. Modded Xbox in less than 2 minutes. Also, you don't have to tell it what UDE or settings to use it automatically detectes it. By far the easiest Softmod option. :)

Ok this is pissing me off, I have mIRC, I have SmartFTP, and Action Replay. Now I do not have the Ldots ltools Package v1.7.5. The part in the tutorial where it says:
There are 3 versions of this package depending on the game you wish to use. You will need to gain access to the Xbins' FTP to get the file. The directory in which it is found is: xbox/operating system/linux/distributions/ltools/
I went into this folder with my Xbins, and I saw these files:
Parent Folder
_old
Problems_running_on_xbox_v1.0
ltools_007_v1.7.5.zip
ltools_dashes.zip
ltools_MA_v1.7.5.zip
ltools_MA_v1.8.rc1.zip
ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC.rar
ltools_v1.7.5_SC_PAL.rar
So, which one do I get for splinter cell, and what do I do to get it, just double click it? If I do double click it, and it is saved somwhere, then where is it saved to? Also, how do I get in the Action Replay menu under +Splinter Cell to say Linux or whatever?
I am trying to play modded maps and modded weapons on Halo 2.... Basicaly just trying to mod halo 2. Please help.
With all of the information I have given you about what files I have, can you tell me what do to?
