@organika - I'm sure it's very easy to use Winace. Just look up the help or documentation for the program. I've never used it, nor do I have the desire to...sorry...just too busy to look up specific programs for people...

let me try this again. @any one who knows. my xbox freezes at the xbox logo screen. it wont play games and it wont load a dash. i took it in to get it looked at and they said the hd is damaged and they wont replace it becouse that is modding. i dont think you can replace the hd any way because you need the eeprom from your original hd right? and i cant get to it. well what i was wanting to know was would a mod chip fix my problem? PLease answer

a modchip would probably help you fix the problem. Sounds like you didn't follow directions and royally screwed your Xbox...

Hey jon i put in an xbox live game and got the content download. Then when i put in my 007 and loaded from hardrive it went to the screen. It was almost done and about to bring up the main menu a thing was still loading it said "media x menu" in the middle and below that it said "final initialization" just wait untill that goes away? If that doesnt go away restart my xbox?

could you tell me from a scale of 1 to 10 telling me how sure you are about the modchip fixing the xbox. 10 being the most sure. either i get a mod chip for my messed up xbox or get a new xbox from my friend for eighty bucks. please i need to know

Dude, if you want a modded Xbox then go ahead and try and get the chip...either you'll pay more to have it installed, or you'll pay $80 to get a regular Xbox from your friend, your decision...

@jon, no, what i was saying is ARE YOU SURE that a chip would fix it. becouse "would PROBEBLY" doesent really help me, i dont want to spend the money on something thats not going to work. Thanks any way. appreciate it.

And if the harddisk was damaged, you should get a error code in all the languages, 05 or 07. Probably the dashboard is corrupt, so try a original game again

well aparently most of u know how to ftp into ur xbox soi dont need to post my tutorial anyway those of u that r looking to mod halo 2 all i have to say is : CHEATERS just because u got modded on xbox live does not me u have to mod back and plus a new patch is coming out on next saturday that prevents modding on halo 2 so go find something else to cheat on u gigantic pussies

Well everyone! It's the Slith to the rescue, but only for organika :)
I'll be able to help everyone, from the hotels I'm going to (if they have internet access ;) ) so don't fret. And jon, don't worry.

@people with SC
Mini-Tutorial on how to change any format to .zip
1. Download and install WinAce http://www.winace.net/files/wace25.exe .
2. Right click on what should be something.rar (ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC.rar in this case) and goto: Extract Here . Wait for WinAce to finish extracting and continue.
3. Highlight all the files extracted, and right click on one of them. Goto: Add to...
4. A screen will pop up asking you what files you'd like to put in a zip, name, etc.
5. Simply name the file ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC.zip and click add.
6. After WinAce has finished archiving these files, you should see a new .zip file appear in the same folder.
Hopefully that answers everyone's questions! If you need in depth help, ask, and I will go over it again.

Hey slith even when i make those 2 rar files a .zip archive i still cant use it on the action replay it says this is not a valid xbox save so please help it would be greatly appreciated

You either don't have it downloaded all the way, or something. I did it and it works fine for me.
Also, you're talking about two rar files? What two rar files?

Ok when i got the file from xbins it came as ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC, and was a .rar archive file and .rar files dont work with the action replay so i did what you said and went to the ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC file and clicked "extract to" and it extracted 2 files from the archive and it on my desktop part1 and part2 and made those into a .zip archive and it didnt work on the A.r., so it might be possible that i didnt dl the whole file but the 2 files size is 5705kb and the other is 6kb does that sound about right cuz i have no clue and i thankyou very much for helping me with this reply back plz : )

hey jon, i downloaded the zip file for splinter cell and its called linux_profile, and when i turn on the game and go to profiles there is one that says linux, but when i click on it nothing happens all it does is freeze

i dont know if anyone can help me....i have aid and sid and ltools....i fixed the line in the ar driver so it recognizes my interact mem card....
when i try to save to it, at 1st it shuts down....then when i turn it on again it says 3 blocks are gone from memory card so then i put the mechassult save on there....it shows the mech save and that blocks are used but when i put it in my xbox it just says blocks are gone but doesnt show game save.......
can anyone help

Can someone answer my question.....
1. my friend told me about those games mechasault splinter cell..And stuff like that..He was saying sumthin about get those games and i could get softmod...I dunno how to do that though..I didnt get what he meant???
