Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't have a 360 just yet), but I've read that along with 360 backups working, the original xbox's work as well without any special techniques. So the A would be "Yes".

Also how the hell would he get the game to fit on the disc cause its only 4.7gb and xbox 360 games r bigger then that would u know a program to shrink the discs? Also do i really need to buy that SATA card to do this flashing of the drive??

There's some file(s) you need to add to XBM to get it to work with 5.3 (and Vista). Look around for it (Google).

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but i'm wondering.. say i flash my drive with modded firmware then Microsoft find out a way to blacklist the unit / cut it off from the xboxlive network.... are you able to flash back the *ORIGINAL* ms firmware then get back onto live safely? or would it screw you permanently?

hi guys new to site
good site welldone
got a question for u
i received this email (below) and was wondering if its for real the ms have found a way to stop all modded xbox 360s
the email was
Bad news guys, it looks like the 360 is being banned from playng online if you play copy games. This does not stop you playing offline so it is not all bad. Those of you who are thinking of buying one for online and one for backups, they are selling the core 360 in woolworths for £150.it was good whilst it lasted. I will keep all updated on weather or not there could be a stealth update
any help would be appreciated
thanks to all the chancellors for overtaxing our games causing us to rip them hehehe

Wow guys. The last three posts have had nothing to do with the thread at all. Don't post questions in this thread that have nothing to do with the FAQ page. That's what the parent discussion board is for. And before you do post, look around for your answer.
I guess it could be worse, in my old PS2 FAQ page I had people asking me questions that had already been answered in the FAQs and not just in general on the boards.

The *OBVIOUS* thing to do is look for the answer first before asking the question, and yes I realise a lot of people make this mistake but I assure you I was not one of them. I spent 10 minutes looking through threads and NOTHING answered my question.
Second of all, the FAQ page obviously allows for response relative to the questions/answers list, otherwise there'd be a block placed on being able to reply to the thread.
Now I ask, how is my question NOT relative to the Mod/Hack FAQs ? It was a specific question DIRECTLY related to mod/hacking yet none of the questions in the FAQ have this question, so therefore i added it myself, only i dont have an answer for it, I was hoping someone who's in the know could provide the answer rather then some Mr all high and mighty looking to make himself feel important.

I'm not here to start a flame war, but excuse me, if you sincerely believe that, then wouldn't you have asked your question in the general 360 boards, and then once found (in the appropriate place, the boards, not the FAQ thread), post or PM the FAQ maintainer with your finished Q and A? The FAQ thread itself is not the place to ask the question.
I could see what you mean had you not asked for an answer solely for your knowledge (as your post implies), but rather said that a Q and A should be made relating to your problem.
I don't mean/want to nit-pick, but look at your post. Honestly, don't try and bluff me that you had intentions other than getting your answer like the other 2 guys. Your post is no different.
You're right though, that question isn't as easily found since it requires you to just read up on threads discussing this issue, there isn't an answer, no one knows for sure, it's all speculation.
