Hi There,
Does anyone know if a ms25 drive will work in a 360 that has an ms28?
I have got the key backed up from the ms28, just wondering whether a ms25 would work, as the ms28 is now playing up I get one red light come on which indicates dvd drive is kanckered.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Q:What Xbox 360 drive is preferred and tends to be better?
A:Although the Benq is silent and the newest it isn't moddable so its least preferred. The Hitachi has reports of issues such as noise and is a bit less preferred than the top of the list Samsung because it is also a older model and its firmware unlike xtreme can't play DVD5. You should aim to get a Samsung over the other drives. Look in the faq for identifying drives.
WHAT!!?!?!
So you mean that if I flash my Hitachi XBOX 360 (I was going to do that tommorow) it won't read DVDs anymore?

Ok peeps heres my prob.
I have an asus a8v-vm mobo with the VIA VT8251 chipset. In the bios i only have options to set my sata controller to IDE, RAID or ACHP(or somethin like that). Anyway, i've tried flashing with sata controller set on all three options but when i try to samread the drive my sata controller does not show up. I have no problems with any other part of the flashing process other than this.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as its my brother-in-laws xbox and lets just say hes a tad impatient LOL. Anyway thanks in advance guys :)

Hi, My Xbox360 was recently modded and I tried to backup some of the games, and I used dual layer TDK DVD+R, and successfully copied the iso using clonedvd2, but my machine tries to load the game but then said the game cannot be loaded as the disc may be dirty?? But there is no scracth on the disc, and I tried several discs and several backups with same result.
Please help!

I am just getting to grips with the xbox 360 scene, and over the last few days,i have been looking around, and asking lots of questions
some of which may or may ont be listed in this thread
Q)Do all games work on any modded 360?
A)No,some are region coded,in which case they wont work on there respective counterparts
http://www.xbox-sky.com/xbox360_regional_compatibility_guide/
Q)Can i make them region free
A)No
Q)What disks do i need?
A)Good quality DVD+R DL .i.e verbatims
Q)whats this stealth patching i keep seeing?
A)Its so you can play your backup online without being caught
Q)I dont plan on going online,do i still need to patch the games?
A)yes and no,this depends on what firmware you have
if you have the ixtreme, then you need to patch iso's even if you are not planning on going online
If you are definetly not using the 360 for online play, then the extreme firmware is for you (iso's dont need patching)
Someone correct if i am wrong pls,any slamming, and you get a slap :)
