i use ar max evo too ( backup) and my pen gets recognised but i always get a error transfering files.... What da fock is dat ?? (128mb flash disk)
i also tried : putting .MAX files on the pen but it doesnt see any file but if gives the right amount of free space....
Sum1 pls help me out !!!
i have all tools like max media

i had the same problem, i have a backup and i used my sandisk 1 GB flash drive, but then i used a 512 MB lexar flash drive and it worked great

When ya trying ur Pen Drivers, make sure u plug the pen drive to both USB ports ok?, maybe one usb port works better than the other... I know this is STEWPID but it won't hurt to try and give an idea right?.
anyways i am kind of surprised to see the DIVX player in Action Replay MAX EVO, but i don't know what sort of DIVX stuff that it could play. I have a movie i encoded sometime back, but it ain't working it. Anyone uses this feature in Action Replay? Does it work with XVID stuff?

Well, i've tryed to plug the pen to BOTH usb ports, and nothing.
Definetely, the issue is with the AR MAX Upgrade disc, that's not equal to the AR MAX one's!!!!
Just don't get the Upgrade ones, if you have a AR2 V2!!!!!!

Well, guess what?
Just got this reply from Datel:
"Dear Sir
Further to your email I understand that we add a coding to the Max drives which allows them to be detected, some customers are able to use there own without any problems but we only guarantee the Max drives."
Anyone knows any issue regarding this???
So, all the pens need this code to make them work with AR MAX???
Where do i get it, so i can transfer it to my pen via my computer???

i just bought a lexar 128mb usb jumpdrive(?20,-) and it works great with ar max evo (backup) !! thanks to the duder who also had the same problem like me (see previous posts) . so i guess all lexar (even 1 gb) will work

surprisingly, this is the only thread i can find regarding saving games on a flash drive.
i've looked at action replay max and it seems to be mainly for cheats. i'm just looking for a way to save my games onto a usb flash drive (considering my memory card expansion quit on my the other week and i lost all of my saves!). from what i understand, action replay max allows you to do this. but how does it work? i use hdadvance with a 160gig hdd. do i need to insert a disc everytime i want to save?
the page doesn't really give much info.

There's also a MAx drive (without the Action Replay codes).
The USB drive, as far i know, only can transfer saves from/and to the memory card....

I have been trying to get it to work with my ARmax evo. I was able to sucessfully transfer the saved file to my memory card but it would read in the game. I checked the file name in evo and it starts with a &. I think that is my problem why it wouldnt read. any help please.

so does this only work with the armax evo edition? and not that normal armax? because ive tried with my standard armax with 2 different pen drives and a digicam(which apparently work) but no luck.

Well, it seem AR MAX WON'T recognize any USB connected stuff, but AR MAX EVO WILL!!!!
Why?????????
The interface is equal, why can't they work equal????
AR2 V2 does recognize a X-port cable!!!!!!
I'm getting real bored with this AR MAX stuff!!!!!!!

well ive just bought the ar max evo, with a max drive and its great, i also have the normal ar max , and tried the proper max drive(that came with my ar max evo) with it and it doesnt work.

Hi,
in my case everything started to work when I formated my pendrive to plain FAT (FAT32). Now i can easily copy my MC saves into the pendrive. BUT,
there's another problem.
The save states after being copied from memory card into the pendrive and then from pendrive to memory card don't work. Sure, they are visible in the memory card manager, but while trying to load the game to which the save state corresponds - it looks as it disappeared.
Does anyone knows what's the reason for this, and how it should be solved?

Alright for anyone that's interested here's my setup that "works" I think. I have a slimline PStwo and a dms4 pro modchip installed inside. Right now I have a backup copy of Action Replay Max Evo 3.1 and it runs and boots fine. While I was copying data to and from the memory card and my Micro Advantage 128 MB USB flash drive I needed more room for a particular save and needed to delete some files. After deleting two small save files I copied the file back and everything was good...until I started up the PS2 again and looked at my memory card. The entire card was completely blank with absoloutley nothing in it. The first reason for this was that I had to decompress the save I copied which I now understand. However I have no idea what happened to everything else on my memory card! The card was full except for about 100 or so KB and now when I look at the card it shows the correct free space however it is lacking all the data that would make that free space number correct! The only abnormality I noticed was numerous spots on the card that showed up as corrupted data when I was preparing to copy files in the memory max thing so could it be that my memory card is getting old or is it something I did wrong and can anyone help me recover my data or is it lost for good? Even though the PS2 is a slimline I had a previous PS2 that broke a little while back so the memory card was from the first one and is probably 1-2 years old at least. Has anyone had this happen before?

Well, it seems to me that hte X-port is still the only option to transfer save games from the PS2 to a PC....
A lot of people is having trouble with the AR MAX (inclunding me!!!), and it seems only the AR MAX EVO will work with a pen drive....
By the way, anyone willing to part with it (or a backup....)....

kelemvor, i also have the new slimline ps2 and in AR Max it recognises the usb pen but doesn't come up with amount of mem or my saves. Also when i try and use my mem card in memory manager it freezes. I want to format it because it has 3 corrupted data files on it but i cant format it because it freezes in AR Max!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
