Does anyone know if once the backup has been created if it can be copied directly to another disc? If so which would be the best program to do this?

Regarding the installation of net framework 2.0, I think this has already been downloaded via windows update. How can I double check so I dont overwrite any newer updates/revisions?

First, I would like to say this site is very impressive. A few hours ago I had no clue where to start. I orderd a wii key a few days ago and a lg8164 today. Still need to get a dvd burner though, my burner is only cd burner. Last time I used it was for PS1 !!
Any cheap, but good burner you would suggest?
Also I know nothing about what dvds to use. I have a pack of DVD -RW, WILL THEY WORK?
When I buy dvds again what would be the best ones to buy?
Thanks, you guys ROCK! Oh and what games should I get first??? Only one I have is SSX Blur.

I have 2 NEC DVD burners, one in each desktop PC. They cost about $40 at newegg.com. Thats just a personal preference. If you use Newegg, look at how many reviews there are for the drive, what the rating is (look for a burnewr that is rated 4 or 5 stars), and cost. I think some have free shipping.

I found an NEC drive at newegg, for $30, i guess that one will do. They also have verbatim discs.
Verbatim only discs that will work, is that +R -R or +-RW??? I dont know anything about this stuff. Thanks!

The best Dvd Burner to use is the Pioneer 111d
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827129001
I have learned this from another forum. I was using the cyclowiz chip burning my games with a sony dvd burner. Using Verbatim -R dvds. Every game kept getting the cannot read disk error. Someone told me to get the pioneer 111d burner and it would fix the problem. I didnt believe it as my sony burner was pretty new. But I got it anyway. After burning the same games with the pioneer burner. Everyone played fine. Except the certain games that wont work with the cyclowiz. However I already switched to the wiikey and now all games work flawless. So using the LG drive to rip and the pioneer to burn. You'll be on your way to error free disks in no time.

Im not sure which is the best. But I know the Verbatim - R's work fine for me. Have had no problem since I installed the wiikey. Dont forgot to get a tri-wing screwdriver if you dont already have one to open up your wii. You will need it. I tried different types of flathead screwdrivers and none work. Almost stripped the screws on the side of the faceplate. They look like this, http://www.modchipman.com/triwing-screwd...etc-p-1558.html
I dont use Nero though. I use Imgburn. Its free. I burn all mine at 4x http://www.imgburn.com/

I back up the wii game yesterday, after the dump the file was the right size 4.37GB or something like that but the extention is .rar instead of .iso
What did I do wrong? Do I need to adjust the setting in WinRAR somehow? Thank you

When going to burn a game, do you need a specific file name for the image?

You used raw dump correct? After it is done ripping to the hard drive. It should be in a .iso format. 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes) total. If its a rar file, when opened in WinRAR. Does it show the iso? And raw dump automatically lables your iso. I dont think it matters if you were to change it b/c once you burn it, its done.
